Clever video, but that's actually a bottle of Crown Royal that the GoPro is attached too.

OD(erus) is dead to me!I don't get the dub step stuff.
I kind doubt Neil Fallon or Oderus Urungus would approve either.
Joke.
Put these guys in with real martial artist and they can't perform.

You listening to it thru headphones or a good stereo? Listening through a PC's single speaker is like driving a car on just rims...
Don't confuse these guys with internal martial artists, this is ALL physical.

Just where do you think the mma guys learned their skills from??
I have nothing against Kempo but those guys were putting on a show.

To an extent, yes, they were putting on a show.
Here is the thing. Martial arts are techniques developed to take out opponents. They weren't designed to get a submission, to score points or to win a contest.
They were designed to take out opponents.
There ARE martial arts out there that the techniques simply maim, kill etc..
In the past, this could be practiced and cultivated. Today, most of those that practice and cultivate these, (special forces, assassins, etc) you will never hear from or hear about.
So people get a jacked up perspective from tourneys or mma bouts or whatever.
brazilian jiu jitsu, for example, is an excellent martial art; however, on the street you would never want to purposely go in that close or take it to the ground or the next thing you know, you're bleeding out of your femoral artery.
In a controlled environment like the octagon, it is very effective, but against multiple opponents or in the street or in war, you want to avoid those techniques at all costs. It's great to know them, but they aren't the be all end all that many layman would like to believe.
sorry to slightly derail the funny pic gif thread, but having studied martial arts for 30+ years, and to have used it both in combat and in the streets (I have also studied BJJ from one of the greatest 'Cadu' btw) it gets my goat when people start saying that real martial arts should take heed to "REAL MARTIAL ARTS".
Those who have achieved some of the highest levels in martial arts tend to agree that there is merit in most of the martial arts out there and while proficiency in some martial arts is easier to attain or easier for smaller, lighter, heavier, slower (insert whatever) people, that doesn't make them superior martial arts except within those mentioned aspects.

I know a little bit about this stuff myself.
What is "Cadu" btw?
edit Nevermind I see now who Cadu is. You live in jiu-jitsu heaven. I have trained off and on with Lovato Jr. since 98 I have a brown belt under a Renato Taveres affiliate. Fought pro mma and trained with lots of greats.
