LOL.... I remember when this first came out. Has to be 20+ yrs ago.
I also remember they found it to be staged...lol.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of kids who show up on the first day of kindergarten and don't know anything except how to play video games. Their parents expect the school to teach their kid everything and so don't teach them basics like colors, shapes, numbers, etc. Of course when school budgets have to be voted on, the parents are then shocked and appalled that teachers want simple cost-of-living raises.
Source: Wife is an elementary school reading specialist. She has kids who don't even know how old they are.
