Then where would you ride, if you had to travel that road in a bike?
Those bike "lanes" have to be the most dangerous and dumbest thing ever put out in traffic.

If I biked, I'd NEVER, as in NEVER, come close to riding in one.

The ones that run between car lanes are really the most dangerous of all. wtf??? What idiot thought these would help anyone, biker or motorist?

Imo, it is like a No Trespassing sign.

It isn't an actual barrier, but it does provide a position as to what the correct (aka:legal...i know you hate that idea) goings on are.

Cyclists who ride in traffic are placing a lot of faith in their fellow humans, signs, paint or otherwise.

Blackie, you're not a Cager Hater now are ya lol??? Ok, now picture this: In their infinite wisdom the politicians in Bmore have been making changes to traffic to help " protect and promote " biking. This is specifically in regards to several areas where they have been " testing " different traffic patterns but it gets changed back and forth every few months due to law suits between bikers and residents. As it is now - 3 lane one way road. They have the far left lane as a travel lane for cars. The far right lane is for travel via bicycle. Wanna guess what the middle lane is for??? Yup you guessed it lol - parking for cars lol. These goods now force you to park your car smack dab in the middle of a busy city street.

Sidewalk.

My wife, who rides for sport, uses our numerous bike trails.

If I had to travel, I'd do as I did when I lived in Miami: I'd take the sidewalks, residential streets, etc. Whatever I'd have to do to survive.

How about you?

Sounds pretty dangerous for the pedestrians walking on the sidewalks!

Widening the sidewalks on a major street in my area makes a lot of sense...IMO

If all motorists were as aware of their surroundings as cyclists, MVAs would be close to non-existent.

I would correct that to as aware as motorcyclists, but the idea is the same. The bicyclists here in SF are not aware.

However I fully admit there are idiots in every segment, I see lots of idiots Moto riders too. The core group of everyday riders here are pretty competent, safe, and aware. You basically pretend your invisible because to most zombie motorists you are.

He's lawless.

Correction....I'm lawFUL and therefore question legislation at every turn. Real law is discovered, just like prices. But that takes a free society to have, so you see the problem.

That real law system is entirely different than the govt's legislation enforcement system of today that IS lawless in its foundation and execution.

The roads are covered with snow, it's -13 degrees, so I'm guessing it ain't a problem right now.
