That close is absolutely nuts, you're not wrong but in reality, the two objects are moving at the same speed and that bike is not going through that truck.
Point being, any normal stop wouldn't be too bad, but that truck hits something, that's a different matter

I've had race track drivers tell me this, too.

I had a new one in 1971 but it did not have a radiator. It was air cooled.
