Actually I believe they all survived if I remember right. Just looks like it. It blows off his hat and his jacket comes up creating the illusion his head is gone. If his head really did come completely off, you'd see lots of blood.

Ahhh they're Russian, they have brains and blood flow to them, they just have disproportionate balls than the rest of the world. And they drink LOTS of VODKA....

I slowed it down and cut the ending and blew it up 50%, but it's still not very clear. I'm leaning toward the coat shoulders rising and blocking his head.
Still has his head and is still a moron....
but it has AC, you wouldn’t get such a bargain that easy
