Yeah, I replaced a transaxle in a vr6 jetta by myself, I just manhandled it up and into place.
Funny story, I had put a dollar size hole in my s15 v6 block coming up the grape vine when I was younger and I bought a used engine and me and my dad put it in. While we were putting it in there was some down time when I had nothing to do. So I said to my dad, "hey, I'm going to go ahead and put this passenger side tire back on". He says ok and I do.
Now this is all being done on jack stands on dirt beneath a metal canopy on our 356 acre ranch. My dad asks me to get under the truck and help guide him on where the engine needs to go.
So I'm under the truck guiding the engine while my dad is jumping on it to get it to go in, well not jumping on it literally but rather pushing it up and down agressivley, when..... the truck falls off the jack stands and the oil pan taps me on the chest.
The ONLY reason I'm here today is because I put that passenger side tire on.

p.s. Even had I not died immediately, the nearest hospital was 20 plus minutes away, so I would not have made it.
