Warning to all, this post is totally off topic! I sure do miss Buras though. I put in there to fish the marsh and canals almost every weekend for a few years. Targeted reds and trout but we usually added a few flounder and other fish to the catch too. Buras for brackish water, Lac Des Allemands for fresh water, life was good, naah it was great! A friend was born and raised in Des Allemands. He talked about how wonderful it was to grow up in a place that had everything! Fishing, hunting, trapping, room for a little garden. He never knew a hungry day and thought this was Paradis. He was wrong of course, Paradis is a few miles down the road!

If you love the outdoors and can tolerate a few bugs and heat South Louisiana really is a bit of heaven!

Enough of the homesick blues, I do miss year round fishing though!

Hu

When I drove a truck, the company I worked for was founded by a guy who used to run banana's out of Gulfport to the upper Midwest so we had a lot of routes out of LA and MS and we had a contract with a tire manufacturer, I forget the city but I remember it was in the backwoods of LA and I always loved going there.

Bananaville, probably.

You're welcome.
