True story: a long time friend got himself elected to the State Legislature. Over a beer, he asked me if I had any pet peeves I'd wish to be addressed. Knowing fully that it would be well beyond the purview of any state legislative body, I replied 'Yes. Pass a bill requiring mandatory standardization of hotel lamp switches and shower controls'.
I knew a few people like that. Never in a wreck but must have caused a thousand! One never used the gas pedal. Incredibly cold but when somebody told me Mr P had died the first thing that popped out of my mouth was "How could they tell?"

I went to work for a little company from New Iberia LA. I realized I might be a bad fit when the General Superintendent and I passed by Borden Chemical and he asked if that was where they made milk!
