yes over 1500

I spent that on a jump/break with 3 shafts (one for breaking and jumping, one for playing and a matching predator shaft). Had this cue built to be the exact opposite of my 3500 cue. Built to my specification as to handle length, wight distribution, and exotic woods used. Enough said it plays great and jumps and breaks better than any mass produced or custom Jump/Break I have tried yet. Bottom-line is you pay for what you get.

Well, the break is almost totally subjective as to whether any particular cue is "better" than any other. I'll concede that one.

The jump shot one the other hand is something that can be repeatably measured. Thus jump cues and jump cue portions of jump/breaks can be compared rather easily.

While I can see that the one you have has been found to be better for you in comparison to whichever ones you have tried, I would like to point out that there is no way that it is truly better than most production jump cues on the market now. Unless the person who made your cue has devised some ultra-technology I don't really see a cue that allows jumps from closer than a business card or more than 8' away into a six inch target as most of the existing jump cues already facilitate.

Including the ever popular Fury Jump Break - the "furious maker". :-)

I would like to add that Bob uses a FURY jump cue and swears by it. Say's it is one of the best on the market. He also owns a Jacoby which he likes as well. Both great products and reasonably priced. :)

My father picked one up from you at Valley Forge John, with the help of some "fury bucks" I took off Val Finney and he took of Kelly Fisher luckily.

Yeah Dad loves it. I like it but he likes a heavy break cue (21.oz) and I like a lighter one. I been thinking about picking a lighter one up for my wife actually. She is using my old JandJ which is well, a JandJ that I cracked the phenolic tip on.

I know I don't have a hard break, but I use a break cue because I don't want to ruin my playing stick doing it, and I hate using house cues
 
For the record...there is nothing wrong, or incorrect, about using your playing cue to break with...I've been doing it for decades, with no adverse affect to any of my cues.

Glad to hear that John has taken an interest in your furious experience with you Fury cue. I am sure that you will be given excellent customer service. Even a Mercedes or Porsche have problems from time to time, no matter how good they are built. Heck, McDonalds has made billions of hamburgers & I am sure that every once in awhile, one doesn't come out perfect. I have no doubts that you will be happy with the end result of your situation. If, for any reason, you decide not to continue using a Fury break cue, let me know. I can get you a deal on a Sledgehammer.

Logan, I enjoyed the title of your post. I haven't played in a long time and have never heard of a fury, yet I assumed you were talking about the name of a particular stick. I guess capitalizing the name would have changed things a bit.

Now, since we're talking about the break in 9 or 8 ball, I have a sweet get-rich-quick scheme that might just work. It seems everyone's talking about the break being a mighty advantage in pool, as well as a disadvantage for physically weaker players. Some say females have weaker breaks. My get rich quick scheme involves using a special 'breaking machine' that propels the cue-ball into the rack at the exact same speed every single time - from the exact same angle. It's kind of like that Sardo rack gizmo, except my invention goes on the other end of the table. The ref places the ball on the 'break pad', and the ball is launched by the 'break machine' into the balls. This way no one can blame their losses on their break, or the perceived unfair advantage of their opponent's stronger break.

Next in line, a special stick that shoots for you while you're sitting down. I'm working on some really great inventions for the game of pool. Another is the 'pool caddy' - a special case containing maybe ten sticks carried by your human 'assistant'. Just as in golf the player asks his caddy to hand him a special stick for a special shot. For instance, if the player feels he has to put some heavy draw on the cue ball, he simply turns to his caddy and commands, "Give me the draw stick!" Or if he's impatient he can simply snap his fingers and bark, "Draw!" This way, if he fails to attain the desired cue-ball position, he can always blame his caddy. "I'm sick of you always handing me the wrong stick!" Extra sticks can be kept in the caddy case (for smashing against the wall in fits of fury). Thanks for the inspiration, Logan.
