This is my position on how I stand with the IPT and what I went through. I went to Florida just to watch I didn't play. I spent about $1,700 and had to fly there. I hate flying scared to death but decided to go because I didn't want to blow what might be a great opportunity for me.The next tournament in LA I couldn't go because my daughter was sick in the hospital. After that I again forced myself to get on a plane and go to Reno. There I spent about $1,500. Since I have been in the IPT I've played in one tournament (Reno). I played 3 matches lost 8-7, 8-7, 8-5. I have $5,000 coming from the IPT, I spent about $3,200. If I accept the 1/3 of the $5,000 I will still be at a loss of about $1,500. I think that working with KT and accepting 1/3 of the money is the smartest thing to do. Hoping that he can continue the IPT and make things bigger and better.
I don't know KT personally but evidently he's having a few problems and must need time to solve them and hopefully get things going again. Who really knows?
On the other hand, I feel that if I refuse 1/3 of the money I'm not giving the IPT a chance to continue if at all possible. What I would be doing is forcing KT to get ready for a major lawsuit that can take years and maybe not get any of the money anyway. And what about the people that spent money trying to qualify? If the players decide to sue KT and not take 1/3 of the money it would kill any chance the qualifying players would have of recuperating any of their moneys. This is just my opinion "go along with the program" maybe, just maybe, things will get better. I'm not taking sides I'm just a gambler taking what I think is my best shot.
