I do genuinely pause to admire a nice cue now and then, JoeyA's POW/MIA cue comes to mind. However you are right, if I ever own a fancy cue it will be to show off my own work. I value function far more than looks and I'm forever old school. My Meucci I got for a heck of a deal in the early eighties was very plain but I would still get tired of it and snatch a house cue off of the wall. I never played any better with the Meucci than I played with something out of the woodpile as you call it, no need for me to get fancy.

A fancy cue would clash with my blue jeans and t-shirt anyway.

We've touched on the subject of cues before. My disdain for high end cues, is well known by you and others.
(unless of course, I won it off a scuff, and immediately turned it into cash, then I love them)

I don't remember ever "slobbering" over a cue, although I may have while drunk.
But on the many occasions, I have been loaned high end cues,(often by my partner's or friend's)... my record is perfect !

I don't do it on purpose, but every few shots, I seem to fly up into the lights over head, or drop it on the tile floor. This has lead to many of the "loaner's" angrily grabbing their "baby" away from me (the "loanee") in mid game.

In those situations, I just head for the wood-pile, and usually play better, without the unnecessary pressure of being careful with a Goddamn, overpriced piece of wood.

My own playing cue has more nicks and dents, than any house cue I've ever seen. Still works OK for me.

Old habits, are hard to break.

Are Mika and Thorsten European?

They dont compete on the Eurotour, neither do they play the European Championships anymore, so the EBFP can't ban them. They can only use their power on those who are high on the rankings and use that ranking to get invites to other tournaments...

Strange, but that's the way it is... I know there are a couple of top-pros that don't like it that there are different rules for different people, but I guess they can choose to just not play the Eurotour then, and try to get spots in the Mosconi etc in other ways.

Thorsten hasn't played Mosconi for years, and Mika only got a spot last year because he won the US Open. I am pretty confident that if both had played regulary on the Eurotour both would have a pretty decent chance of representing Europe on the Mosconi etc, but then they would also risk their freedom to choose what tournaments to play...

I know my way around cues, so don't try and offer me anything less than a Dufferin. I prefer my sticks...57 ounces and 20 inches long, with turtle tip. Armadillo ferrule will work,(didn't know they had tusks tho) but I prefer genuine bear claw..

That is what you are too self-centered and sick to realize. I am better than you, far better. That isn't saying much, so are at least 95% of the posters on this forum. We never robbed old people for three years, we never robbed them for three minutes. We never made a dying man's last weeks hell because we ignored what others were telling us. We also have never spewed the vile filth that you have both on this forum and in private messages including those to the dying man when he had only days left to live.

Being better than you isn't an act, it is simply the way I and most people live. As for apologies, yours don't mean a thing because you will pull the same crap while you are apologizing or an hour later. You are still scamming and living your life the same as always so any apology is facile BS anyway and doesn't mean a thing to you. Over and over you claim you want to be friends and attack me in the same messages. The trouble is that you have diarrhea of the mouth and have talked too much to people about how you really feel about me. Had you had the intelligence and emotional stability needed to let things drop I would have. Your last post tells me that we are just talking SSDD. Suits me anyway, being nice to people like you offends me and it annoys me when you post stuff that shows you think you are still conning the members of this forum. You have a very few believers and a handful of cling-ons, most laugh at your wild fantasies. They didn't come true the last four or five times you made promises on the forum, they won't come true this time. This has happened so many times I have lost count. He attacks in public and wants to make nice in private or makes nice in public and attacks in private all at the same time. Which is the real fatboy? Is there a real fatboy or does he have a dozen different people living in his body?

Is it that he is so simple minded or self centered that he thinks that he can post garbage and apologize at the same time and I will think he is sincere in his apology? I am well aware that he is very tired of me posting the truth about him, it shatters his public image he values so highly. One of these days he might realize that I only respond to his attacks on me or when he posts blatant BS on the forum. All he has to do to end this is stop attacking and stop posting crap like the rest of the forum members, including myself, are a bunch of morons and suckers.

The basic premise of a con man is that everyone he is trying to con is too stupid to know they are being conned. I resent the implication and so should every other member of this forum when fatboy posts his wild promises he never intends to make good. I'll reserve the right to call BS when I see it from fatboy the same as from anyone else here and I will respond to attacks both on myself and my friends. Other than that, I don't have any interest in fatboy or his posts.
