Mort Sahl, who some may pleasantly recall as a 1970s-era very acute, sometimes acerbic social commentator, humorously had this to say about one of a few overly-evangelized lifestyles (steaks vs vegan, gay vs straight, rationalist vs believer, etc.):
For years it was "The love that dares not speak its name" . . . but
now it's the love that won't shut up !!!
Arnaldo ~ We largely do get along very well. IMO tolerance is baked into the beautiful Emma Lazarus poem beneath the Statue of Liberty:
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
