Mother had colon cancer. Step mom passed from pancreatic. Father had skin cancer. Mother in law is going through chemo right now for breast. Cancer is a horrible thing that hopefully will be cured someday. I hope this goes sky high. Good luck to you and kudos to you for doing it.

Im lucky enough to have not had any direct encounters. Had I had any money I would gladly bid the auction but dont even have the money for a new shaft! I hope you make as much money humanly possible on the cue to donate. I do hope they find a cure to cancer and some of the more tragic forms of it. I also hope that killing the body is not the only solution but thus far it is. Good luck with your sale and I hope they enjoy the research money. Hope you have a very good day

I emailed the current high bidder, and it appears we have another very nice AZ member who is wanting to help out. I was a bit worried about a new eBay user, but they reassured me that they are for real.

Thanks again everyone.

Howard

I cant imagine someone complaining about this being bumped to the top but if they do I would say thats one ****ed up person.

Well today has been a very good day. One of the members on this forum, and I hope they will say who they are at some point, has purchased the cue. Normally, I would not end any auction early, but for 5000 dollars, I did. Yep, I said 5000 dollars. He asked me not to state to much, but I can say that he was touched by all the help on this, and made a lot of kids happy with this.

We made the payment to Ronald McDonald House, and I have attached an image of the receipt, just in case anyone wanted to see it.

Again, I want to thank everyone who helped with this, and give you all a BIG THANK YOU. Especially you Joe.....

Congratulations to all involved: Tribal Guy, Joe Van Buren, and the buyer. The buyer ended up with a beautiful cue and Ronald McDonad House received a large donation. The rest of you get points just for doing a great thing.

Best regards,
Greg

Thanks to the buyer...

Classiccues was just happy to help out...

Anyone that has lost a relative or friend to cancer, lymphoma, any disease knows its a long grieving process. I think of my brother often, as does TG I am sure. I watched TG's youtube tribute and it reminded me of my brother who was only 18 when he had passed away.

Because of our age difference we weren't as close as we should have been. But I know had he survived he would have been my fishing partner for life. You never know how long a brother, sister, parent, son, daughter, best friend will be around, so take advantage of the time you have with them.
