Ok I think I have said all I can say about the things that piss me off and in the end not been so nice about it. So I am getting off the soapbox.

Blackjack - I have only met you once and you came across as very cordial. I am sorry for being over the top in my response to you. I believe that you are passionate and convicted in your stance and that you sincerely believe it to be the right course. Fair enough. The ship is sailing without either of us so our discussions are academic at best and need not be bitter.

Vader - I apologize to you as well. I don't appreciate the personal attacks and you can see that I can be downright vicious. I hope that you will curb your inclination to hurl personal insults my way in the future. If not, so be it.

BCA - Although I still disagree with a lot of the things you have done during my time in the billiard industry I reallize that in the end you are a group of people trying to do a job the best way you feel that you can. So, my sincere apologies for the venom towards you in my posts.

UPA - As well, I believe that you are trying your best to do what you feel is right by your members. Charlie, I have always found you to be a very reasonable man in person and kudos for having the wherewithal to stand up for what you believe in. I will probably continue to disagree with some of the things the UPA does but I will try to be less of an ass about it.

WPA - ??????? You all just confuse me. I hope that you reach your goals whatever they are without anyone getting hurt.

Frank Alvarez - Although I stand by what I said concerning my feelings about your level of ability compared to your fellow UPA players, I apologize for being a jerk about it. I respect you more than you know for your willingness to get in the box and mix it up with players who have far more experience than you do. It takes a lot to do that tournament after tournament. Your game has also improved a great deal in the last two years, in my opinion. We have had many discussions over various pool issues over the years and while we often end up in disagreement, you have also been able to reasonably explain a lot of your organization's decisions. I have appreciated those discussions tremendously.

Max Eberle - I don't know if I offended you or not. If so, I didn't mean to. I think you are a better artist than a pool player and that says a lot since you are definitely a world class pool player. Someday you will be famous for your art and I will be able to say I knew you when you were "just" a pool player.

Debra (Straybullet) - I am just apologizing to you on general priniciples. Maybe you'll see this when someone quotes it, maybe you won't. I didn't lambast you in the last thread but I know you were offended. Sorry.

Randy G. - I defer to your experience. Although you haven't really said much your dissaproval is apparent. You have done a lot for the game and all the regional tours have you to thank for thier existence today as you guys pioneered the format most use to this day. You have always had much more inside information and exprerience in the pool world than I have. So, I apologize to you if my remarks offended you. I welcome correction where I am wrong if you choose to share. You have always been a pleasure to talk to and be around.

Who else - Forums Anonymous said I have to make amends with everyone :-))

Celtic - you have a bet, what was the bet again?? Sorry for being a jerk sometimes, I'll try and tone it done in the future.

Bernie - at least you had the nuts to apply. Good luck on tour.

In closing, I do really think I have said all that I can say about the issues I feel strongly about. Since 1997 I have been an enthusiastic member of many forums. Over the years I have become increasingly short-tempered in my repsonses and so I apologize to all those I have directly or indirectly offended.

I have to go now. Thanks for the soapbox. Someone else can have it now.

Someone e-mailed a copy of your apology to me this morning. It wasn't you that e-mailed it to me, but it would have meant a lot more to me if you had. I have gone through this with you before, and though your words seem sincere, I will have to monitor the situation for a while before I decide whether or not you are being genuine. When your words are used as a weapon to intentionally hurt somebody - you have to expect that you will get the response that you received from me privately. You have apologized and I skeptically accept your apology - and you know why. Actions speak louder than words. I hope that in the future you and I can communicate without the ugliness that caused you to write out this apology.

Debra

If I fall into the Forums Anonymous, I also except your apology. Good luck in the future. Remember, people can disagree without taking it to a low level insult throwing battle. I gamble with my friends & disagree with my friends all the time. Afterwards, I always thank them for the action or opportunity.

Wasn't it I get all the men on the tour and you get all the women? We add up the money at the end and if the men's money combined is above the women combined I win???

I kid, I kid!!!

I was taking Edwin Montal and Tyler Edey, you get Allison Fisher and Karen Corr. We add up their winnings in 2006 and which ever group has the higher total wins for $25 bucks. Should be close.

Plus I accepted your bet of Kelly Fisher not making the top 60 for a drink, a fancy drink like one of those foot longs at Slots of Fun or something. I imagine Vegas is where we will meet up if anywhere.

We both had a heck of a debate back and forth, nothing too serious or personal though, just heated posts about our stance on things. No need to apologize to me man, part of the fun in forums is debating a stance as long as it never gets personal which I dont think we ever really did with each other. Plus now we get to watch the 2006 season with a bit more interest.

Plus somehow Jjinfla got action on me taking Karen Corr to end the season higher then Allison Fisher for $25... I imagine I am a slight underdog here but Karen has impressed me against the men and I think her playing against them so much in the past may give her a head start.

No need to appoligize. (even thouigh I was not mentioned) You made some fantastic posts. Your were right on line. I do not want to repeat my earlier post, though you can find it here http://www.azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=20879

With all said it takes people with guts to share their opinions without the fear of ridicule. Some will try to combat your efforts by trying to prove you wrong by twisting information. You are a tremendous supporter for billiards, thanks for all you do.

I don't think I have your email address. I figured you'd get it anyway. It wasn't any ugliness between us that caused me to be reflective. It is that I didn't feel good about where the arguments were going and I was spending to much time responding in kind to personal attacks. I don't have all the answers, no one does. I like places like this to discuss and debate but I will never ever appreciate the personal insults and I will never feel good about hurling them.

I think we have more in common than not. I don't really know where it went wrong but if I had to guess it stems from you assertion that the company I work for has stolen a design from Mike Gulyassy.

I understand that you are Mike's friend and probably a dealer as well. We didn't steal his design though as there have been other cuemakers before him that have used shaped ferrules for jump cues.

I do apologize to you for the acidity of my comments towards you. Like I said before I have the tendency to repsond in kind. That's my own demon to conquer though. We'll have that beer and find out that we can be cool with each other.

I just want to make it clear, for Mike's sake, that I am not a dealer for him. I am just a friend. I respect his playing ability, his cue work and his business practices. I have one of his original custom made cues & honestly have not found a cue that hits better. Mike, not so much recently, but in his early years of cue making & repairing, made many trips to the St. Louis/Midwest area & he always seemed to enjoy our sense of humor we have in the pool room. I'll drop the Fury talk and let Mike handle that himself if he chooses.
