Getting ready for Southern Challenge - Tunica, MS

Guerra Cues

I build one cue at a time
Silver Member
Hey folks,

I will be leaving for the Southern Challenge in Tunica, MS, next week.

I am trying to have about 10 cues ready, one of them will be my first ever ivory jointed cue.

All cues are available except the bacote cue.

I will try to post all of them once finished and ready to put in the dealer case and ready to be hauled 2k miles.

The cues bellow are not wet sanded yet and buffed yet and still need the joint protectors finished as well....

Another twist on a pau ferro cue with black ash burl handle and it is cored with pau ferro as well, highly figured cocobolo and Alaskan maple handle and the 3rd cue bacote nose and butt sleeve and will have a black bison wrap (it is sold and will be posted over the weekend for the new owner).

The following cues are done but still need a final polish and the joint protectors finished.

Ebony nose with black and white ebony handle, black and white ebony nose with ebony handle (this cue is fully cored with purpleheart) and the last cue curly maple handle with curly olivewood nose and butt sleeve.

Tony, you make me sick....in a good way of course :)
Cues look amazing, Pau Ferro with Black Ash is a nice combo. Coco and crazy maple(yes I'm calling it that from now on) looks real good too.
Btw you got my Skype msg on the coco wood reservation?
Talk soon I got another order for ya.

Like I told ya earlier, Tony.....

May your trip to Tunica end in an empty cue case and full wallet!!!

Outstanding work, sir. Jimmy is right...each batch is better than the one before it!

Rat <----knows that the owner of the Bacote cue is witty, charming, devastatingly handsome, and excited about his new cue!

Hey Tony,

I am glad your a workaholic instead of an alcoholic because if you were, you would be on your third liver transplant by now.

Nice Job on the Mississippi Cues.

Rick

All very nice cues Tony.

Not sure which I like best. Good luck at the show!

Tell everyone I said hello.

Tony,

You continue to show great judgment and taste in the cues you are building. Let the wood speak for itself and keep playability at the top of your priorities. They all look great to me. But if you have a problem unloading that pau ferro/black ash cue, give me a call.

Thanks for nice comments Greg.

Actually the pau ferro is already spoken for.

Right now I am just trying to get my stuff done so I can head out on wednesday.

I will try to post pictures of all of the done cues I will have with me.
