Hey guys just wanted to let you all know that the Long Island Qualifier is getting ready to go. Players are calling for information and starting to show more and more interest which is great.

I got the chance to practice last night with Stevekur1 (Steve) and his resolve to qualify is incredible. His shot selection is fantastic and I think he and I both owe that to all of you guys who contribute on this forum to the betterment of the game and our own games. The wealth of knowledge here is incredible and Steve is using that to his full advantage to make his way to Clifton.

There are a lot of big things coming Steve's way in the near future so keep an eye out. He has the ability and the knowledge, now if he can connect it all together he will be a serious force to reckoned with at any qualifier he enters. I look forward to seeing what happens.

I have been told from various sources that there are a few companies out there interested in being in the "Steve Kurtz" business in terms of equipment as well they should be. Steve stands for all that is good within this game which is furthering not only himself but promoting the sport as a whole. After all it was his idea in the first place to hold the first ever Super Billiards Expo 14.1 Challenge, an event I know we all had a blast doing.

Like I said there a lot of big things about to happen and I just wanted to be the first one in line to say Don't forget us little guys. I mean you are fifteen feet tall so we are all little but you get the gist of it.

Keep an eye open guys and lets see what happens.

Charlie

Sorry to de-rail (if that is what this ends up doing)..

But anyway, I am on Long Island (Huntington) and interested in other 14.1 players to practice with. I love the game, suck at it these days, and need to get back into practicing!

Feel free to PM me or e-mail me with information. I am in no way ready for a straight pool competition, but need to play! 8 and 9 are rotting my brain out...

I don't really know Steve, but I have messaged with him and talked a bit on the phone with him and have read his posts here and watched some video and I know he was instrumental in getting the SBE going but he is modest and quiet and did not really look for accolades. I am jealous of his smooth stroke and his deliberate approach to the table and look forward to seeing a big number on video(with or without the audio) and hope he is able to qualify for NJ. Keep the faith, :grin-square: Stevie.
