5 Point Rosewood into maple.
Ivory Butt cap & 2 shafts w/ ivory ferrules.
Shafts weigh - 3.75 & 4 ounces and are around 12.8 & 12.9 mm.
Butt weigh - 14 5/8 ounces.
Nice leather wrap (don't know who put it on - don't believe to be original).
Sorry - I don't know year of this cue.

NEW INFO today (8/8) from Ernie..... The original wrap was White and Black linen and the butt cap was Ivory substitute, it does look like Ivory.

You are right the wrap is not original. Take a peek down inside the joint on the butt and you can see the year, its just before the "S". Also, its doubtful that the butt cap is ivory.

If you look down into the top of the joint by the pin, you will see a code. The first digits are for the year. You can then post the information.....Oops, ya got me Kevin!

Cool. What was our bet on who would post that serial number info first? My house vs a box cue of my choice if I recall correctly.

Thanks guys. I took a peek and can see some writing; however I will have to go get a magnifying glass as I cannot see that well as my eye aren't what they used to be. And as soon as I can make it out I will share. As far as the butt cap - it sure appears to be ivory as it has the gains like ivory does. Any suggestions on how I can verify the material?

I suggest you find a kid to read in there, that's what I do. Throw some light on the subject that can help too.

Its not ivory it just looks like it. Match your ferrules up next to it and you can see the difference. Once you get the numbers from the inside you can call Ernie and he'll tell you but its not ivory (the ivory caps are actually a little smaller for weight also).

I have been able to get the numbers (borrow the Hubble to read them).
