Glen Atwell

I am watching a video of him playing 8 ball on a bar box...he is a monster! anyone play with him?

I have seen him play and he is a monster. If you want to watch him some more and a lot of the other top players in the Seattle/Portland area, they will be playing in the Malarkey's tournament on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th.

I play with Glenn all the time. In fact, the last time we played I beat him in the finals of the KC's Midway tournament. It only took me about 11 tries in 4 years to do it too ;-)

Glenn is arguably the strongest player in the NW, along with Eddie Mattaya, Damian Pongpanik, Dan Loiue, and a couple others. He is also possibly one of the best bar table players in the nation.

Glenn is and has been a championship level player for many years. Able to hold his own with anybody on any table! Kind of like Dennis Hatch in that he doesn't travel that much or that far. Pretty much stays in the Northwest, just like Dennis stays in the Northeast.

I have known Glen for nearly 30 years and he is a great player. He never gives up under any circumstances.

I remember one time he was playing in the annual Nite Hawk tournament when he had a young road player 6-2 in a race to 8. This road player won the next game to make it 6-3 and then this road player made 4 nine breaks in a row making the score 6-7 with the road player ahead. At no time did Glen say a word and when the road player came up dry on the break on the next game Glen ran out to make it 7-7. Glen then broke and made a ball on the break but was hooked. He pushed out ot a hard jump shot and the road player made him shoot it and Glen made the jump shot and ran out to win the game 8-7.

The point is that Glen never lost his composer at anytime during the 4 nine ball breaks in a row and won the match anyway. To me not loosing his composer during this is in itself is a champions heart.

The stream hasn't started yet, but it sounds like many of the "top guns" of the Pacific northwest are there. Should also be on here:

I was railbird for that match. Glenn was playing Bryce Avila who came within inches of making the 5th 9-ball on the break to win the match.

I've played Glenn several times in Vegas at the BCA and he plays absolutely great. But even more noticeable is the fact that he was a complete gentleman and pleasure to play against. :)

Yeah the first time I met Glenn he was practicing his nine ball break on the table next to me. BOOM! Park whitey. BOOM! Park whitey...

My mentor knew him so we were talking with him about his recent successful performances that my mentor asked him about. He was totally humble.

Glenn is a good guy. How many other people in the WORLD can say that they have been the topic of discussion on these boards dozens of times and never had one bad word said about them?
