Gluing Cloth

Any one ever have a problem with glue bleeding through the bed cloth to actually leave a stain on playing surface. Rolled on not sprayed.

If you rolled it on, Then you covered too much of the cloth. You only need to put the glue on a 1 1/2" area on the edge of the cloth.

Brand new glue bleeds through faster then slightly older glue also. The trick is to lightly roll it on like touch and goes with an airplane. If you press down then roll it, then it bleeds real fast. If you store it in glass quart jars it kinda ages it so it';s not as liquidy but still fluid enough to roll... no press and roll, lightly land and roll smoothly and lift up.

slow down and barely skim the hairs on the cloth, when the cloth is reaching up and grabbing the roller your doing it right.

Thanks for the input, always used spray before and thought I would give another technique a shot. This forum is great.

you also might want to experiment with rollers. In my area there are 2 different rollers available. One is a more sturdy with hooks on the handle the other is cheaply made. I find the cheaply made one is better because is light wieght and rolls more freely. The good quality roller requires a little more pressure to roll.

You also want to buy a 9" roller, either 3/16" nap, or 1/4" and cut it into 3 equal parts, then you can fit them onto a 3" roller handle...because you're not going to find the right 3" roller covers all all.
