I have a pat diveney cue exactly like the one warren kiamco plays with. I am having trouble posting pics. It is a 4 point cocobolo into some intense curly maple, probably the prettiest I've ever seen. It has 4 large ivory diamonds in the butt sleeve and ivory spears on each of the points. It has has his signature ebony and ivory track ringwork at A,B,D, and E. it has the black G 10 radial pin. It is a beautiful cue and listed for 1800 when I bought it new in 2011. It is just not my style I am interested in traditional cues- 4 point with veneers. I will be at the ICCS on the 19 th. I am looking to trade for the following makers Gilbert, joss west, runde, runde Schon, Scruggs , older joss with sharp points. I would be willing to add some money for the right cue. If you would be interested send me a pm or reply in the thread.anyone who would be interested in trading not at the show just message me i was unaware you could not trade at the ICCS
Thanks

ICCS does not allow trading. As a matter of fact, no cues can be brought into the show other than the ones from the cuemakers and collectors who are displaying.

The only transactions allowed is buying a cue directly from a cuemaker. Not positive about the auction, the public may be able to participate in that.

Hope this helps.

No trading, that's a bummer. Does anybody know if Phil Eastwood is going to have any cases available for purchase or will he just be showing off and teasing us?

Phil Eastwood will have 5-6 brand new custom cases for sale at the ICCS this weekend. Saturday attendees are welcome to buy a case from Mr. Eastwood.

Jack Justis will also have a gathering of world class cases for sale.

Jamie,

The Special Collection cues will be in the silent individual auction until 3PM Saturday and yes, all attendees on Saturday can bid and purchase if high bidder. Purchase must be completed at the show. Buyers must be in attendance. Thanks.

cues

You mean you pay 10 dollars, and can't bring in a Paul Dayton to get it looked at or bring in the second to last Richard Black cue to go out that he is not making anymore which is a perfect black baron cue in the box it came in with sales and paper work shipped in a 1by2 black leather whitten case with the RB logo on the top of the case lid to see Richard if this is the truth that he is not making that model or that kind of cue, only special orders. Then it would be kept or traded or used as barter for another cue depending on his answer. So they can all kiss my ass if they did not like what I said. Hope everyone understands now? I talked to Mr Black about 2months ago and he said he was not takin orders, only making 1 or 2 cues a year and that would be 50 or 60 thousand dollar cues only and or with cases, and his wife was sick with cancer and he was not going to the cue show in atlanta either. My people change there mind, don't they. Rich aka the skunk.

The reason no cues can be brought into the ICCS

Richard,

There are millions of dollars of cues on display and the tables get crowded. Some of the collectors, myself included, and all of the cue makers allow the attendees at the public showing, complete strangers to us, to pick up and examine the workmanship of these masterpieces up close and personal. If the general public were allowed to bring cues and cases into the venue security would be a real challenge, and it would be impossible to allow complete strangers to examine and handle the cues.

Richard Black is one the nicest and most accomodating gentleman I have ever met. I am sure he would have been happy to meet with you outside the entrance to the exhibition room to discuss your RB cue.

Please understand, the ICCS is not intended to be a trade shoe or swap meet. It started out as a private gathering of select collectors and cue makers. It was opened to the public to allow them to see and experience the most incredible "art" cues in the world. If you like "functional art" as reflected in pool cues, do yourself a favor and come to the 2014 ICCS. You will be amazed and astounded at the art on display.

Sincerely,

Bob Hoppmann

I was there. I really didn't see anything for sale or trade except for the cues for the silent auction. It was an awesome display of cues. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was amazed by the work presented.

I went and was not aware you could buy anything if so I sure would have been after one of the hoppe style Gus cues Rik had on display. I asked about his 1x2 Justis and it wasn't for sale and I feel the Gus cues weren't either!

Did anybody see the Eastwood (Quiverz) cases? were there any there for sale? Any idea if he sold out? I would like to buy one from them if they have any ready.

I don't understand? when did Richard Black stop making cues? He just quoted me 6 months on a cue being made if I wanted to order it?

It was great to meet you Ron. I'm pretty sure none of Rik's cues are for sale. He's kinda funny that way. :D

Thanks for the nice comments about the ICCS show.

At the show, EVERY cue brought by the Cuemakers, who were located around the outside walls of the exhibition hall, were for sale. All of them. That is why they attend, to sell cues.

The exhibiting collectors are located in the inner booths, and NONE of the collector cues are for sale, they are just showing part of their collections, and are not competing with the Cuemakers.

Thanks!

I'm blown away by this remark!

I envisioned the opposite at one of these events..I envisioned attendees
walking from exhibit to exhibit with their hands behind their backs, gazing at all
the beautiful cues behind a velvet rope..

I would never ask a exhibitor (unless I knew them) if I could examine one of their cues with my hands, but it's AWESOME some collectors will allow this!!

Bob,

Kudos to you, other collectors, and cue builders for giving perfect strangers a full blown experience!

Scott,
Yep I'm the same way, I am more into adding than flipping...
Will is a great guy to take time to put something like ICCS together
It allows us poor folks to see works of art that we would otherwise not see! I had no idea PFD made cues like that! Everyone was friendly and it was a day I will never forget!
Thanks,
Ron Seymour
