The rail on a GC 4 is wider than the GC 3. Therefore the casting on a GC 4 is wider than the casting GC 3. Sorry no can do...:frown:

You would have to be creative mark the holes drill them for either inserts or wood screws get it right the first time or its repair city remark and modify all over again.. alot of work for little reward...

Craig,

You would still have a casting that was wider than the rail.

i just bought a gc3 and stopped by a local retailer to pick up some facings and asked him if he happened to have any.he came back with a set for $100 and i was all excited untill i saw they were for a 4.the ones that came with my table are worn pretty bad which i just dropped them off for powdercoat but the little "shelves" under the bolt holes were broken on a couple and they had drywall screws in them to kepp them from sliding up as the casting bolt was tightened. i guess i will have to live with that for now untill i find some for the right price

I didnt say it would look right but it would be ugly. Depending how much time was spent on it i'm sure th casting would still be nitoriuos for scaring shafts from the metal still being higher then the wood. If someone took the time to fuss with it all. I'm just saying with a little grinding cutting anyone can screw a piece of metal to a piece of wood... would it be perfect of coarse not is it worth 100 hours of work I really dont think so.

As he asked in the original question can a be screwed to b? yes would it look right? no.
