Nope, not insecure with my image, not in the least. Not insecure as a pool table mechanic either. I'm not insecure with correcting bad advice from someone else either. I'm 62 years old, so I'm not understanding of what you mean when you say I haven't grown up yet, how much more growing to I have to do to be fully grown up according to you? And grow up from someone like you, who's been banned for life, and you come back under a new screen name kind of says a lot about how childish YOU are, because you can't stand being banned, so you lie to create a new screen name to get back on AZB....really ADULT of you!

I can see why you were banned in the past, how many time HAVE you been banned for life? Kind of makes me wonder about a guy wanting to know the size of my pecker, but just so you know for sure, let me clear you mind, women are my choice, not guys like you.

You are classless. You just bash everyone and everything. Don’t know why. Like I said it can only be insecurity. You certainly don’t give swarm and fuzzy feeling. Maybe it’s your writing style or maybe it’s just you. Others whom have may have more knowledge than you seem to keep there cool before blowing a gasket and deliver useful information and still correct with a sense of class. You are not a gentleman. Maybe you need charm school or maybe you have been around that glue to long. Hard to say but, there is some strange thing that makes me believe I am talking to the next news headline doing some mass event. Scary. Seek help. A bad machine does not know it’s bad. It just keeps spitting out bad parts till it is fixed.

This is the reason why people don’t want to post the correct answers on this forum anymore.
Every time it turns into knocking someone or Glen.
Maybe Glen comes across not so easy.......... but how many times over and over the thread turns to I hate Glen club. You people want info......but don’t want criticism for people answering wrong when they should be just reading. I’m he guy clams to be a mechanic for 50 yrs and don’t understand angels of pocket openings. Come on and people wonder why Glen and I laugh at the people claiming how they know rail work and even show all their pics to get work......hell I even look good sometimes in pics.
Don’t let these so called rail experts get work cause of some pics.....I’ve been doing rails along time and started all the rail work being done the way it is today.....people never cut off sub rails until I started saving old rails that should have been in the dumpster.....now there’s been a lot of pics posted on rails, niters, angles.... how to correctly measure pockets and why pockets don’t accept balls and why.
Brunswick mass production of rails are never going to be perfectly made....so if the pockets don’t accept the balls.....it’s the miter of the pockets....or to soft of the facings. What else could it be.....there’s your rocket science..........simple answer.....the fix is a little more complex but, again not rocket science.

Maybe someone was baiting you? Ever think of that? Maybe they are smarter than you think and knew exactly what to start the thread with in order to get you to bite. And bite you did!

Let me play devils advocate for a moment. Let’s say the OP believes he has been a mechanic for 50 years. That would mean he is at least late 60’s to early 70 years old. This is of course under assumption that the OP wasn’t setting up tables at the age of 14. But, who really knows. Only common sense can tell you that probably wasn’t the case. Since this was his first post at 70 years old then again chances are he never read any of the previous threads regarding pocket angles, rail extensions or cushion nose height and the differences between all mentioned. Maybe and just maybe he has been working on tables for 50 years and is just learning about not only this site but, that any of this information even existed. Not much available on the net outside of AZ. Now if this individual is 70 ish then they are from the era where most are computer illiterate. To him a table mechanic is someone that setup a table, leveled it, sealed the seams and recovered it. If that’s the case does that make him or her an idiot? Rather than be nice to them and maybe forwarding the thread link(s) that have already been posted to guide them to the correct information you bash not only the OP but, every response to the thread. Forwarding the link would have much easier than bashing and dragging Mark into your lynch mob.

I don’t know why you find it easier to try and belittle people rather than guide them. You would be better not to respond at all.

Generally you answer posts thoughtfully. You give meaningful information. Both You and Glenn are part of an elite group that provide a service for those that can afford it. For every person you service there are another 1000 that can’t or won’t pay for it. It doesn’t make them bad people. Nor does it make them bad people if they do it themselves or try to learn. Maybe they want to be part of the construction of a sport or hobby they love.

We already know You and Glen are the best. If we didn’t figure that out by looking at the post we learned it from you telling us.

So can we stop with the self promotion? I personally think your tables are fantastic even though I have not had the opportunity to play on one. I just know through my life’s experiences that when someone puts so much effort into the details of a project that the results will be outstanding.

In regards to Glen being “Maybe not being not so easy”, well that’s an incredible understatement. He offends so many people it’s starting to become legendary. As another member said “it’s getting old”. It’s not getting old it’s been old for a long time best I can tell.

Don’t support his bad behavior Mark and don’t get dragged into his trash. You have a much better reputation than he does and it’s not in your interest to become a casualty.

Let people build rails. Let them show pics. What difference does it make? Are you losing work on the high end clients you service? I mean Glen has pretty much made it clear that he really doesn’t have much interest in fixing tables so what does he care if others are trying to pick up the slack? Members don’t have the luxury of working directly with you for years to learn the craft. So what exactly are expecting from everyone? Why don’t you start a thread explaining what questions can and can’t be asked and what qualifications an individual must have to even ask a question or start a post. Maybe they will make it a sticky. I personally love the constructive posts members have contributed. Many by you and a Glen and many by others. However those posts are becoming less and less because members are being lambasted for asking a question or even starting a post.

The forums are being destroyed by bad attitudes of the senior members.

ThinSlice, why don't you just shut the hell up and stay the hell away from my post. Your logic is bullshit, I didn't learn to be a damn pool table mechanic by coming on AZB to learn my job, try the other way around, I've been a pool table mechanic for the last 35 years, and already had my skill song before joining AZB. Now for someone to claim they've been a pool table mechanic for 15 years longer than I've been working on pool tables, and not know a damn thing about why balls are rejecting out of the pockets on a GC2....is sick. THEN people start throwing in their advice on how he can solve the problem, but have NO IDEA what THEY'RE talking about either. It sure makes me wonder why in the hell I've been wasting my time on AZB for the.last 12 years trying to educate people by giving them the RIGHT answers, the RIGHT way of doing things, yeah, I pisses me off, then to top it all off....I have you, banned and returned, telling me how I should or shouldn't act...so YOU can approve of me. Why don't you just be honest with the AZB members and tell everyone what your screen name was when you were banned. You have ZERO credibility with me buddy, so back off and stop injecting your thoughts and opinions about my posts....your comments are NOT welcome!
