Hi, I have Gongalo Alves SW Satin with Boar leather wrap for trade or sale. I talked with SW and they told me that they are not taking orders for satin. Cue is in excellent condition. No LOA but I believe this cue was made in 04 cause even though satins don't have numbers on the pin like other sw cues they put little sticker inside under the bumper(see the pic). The weight of the cue is about 18oz. The weight is also rare cause usually sw cues don't weigh less than 19oz. I am looking for SOLD.
Please pm me or if you have a cue that you want to trade send the pics to jameskwest@gmail.com
Thanks for looking at this awesome hitting and playing cue.

Good looking Satin. Never seen such odd grain/knots in the wood before. Did a worm crawl through there, lol.

Did Ernie G. do the wrap??

I can't imagine a better player for someone wanting an 18 oz cue.

I have only seen Ernie G wraps on SW's - does Laurie send these to Ernie when leather wraps are requested? I've also seen several ads here on AZ and ebay where people said they sent their SW to Ernie for a wrap; in fact, that's how mine got its wrap.

Just curious...

one or two shafts? specs on shafts(s)?

This cue has one shaft. I believe all the satins have one shaft unless you order another one (I could be wrong:o). I don't know the shaft thickness but its not very thin and in excellent condition.

I sure don't think that Ernie subs out to SW. He does, as you know, have that leather wrapping thing down pretty good. Come to think of it, the guy could build a *****en' cue to tight specs with his eyes closed. I'm thinking after 50 darn years he might have it all down pretty good.

This is a great and pretty unique SW satin with what looks like a Gina wrap on it. Great cue.

That's a really great cue, bet its gone quick. I'm no SW expert, but I don't think they ever took orders on satins. I think they only built them for people that were on their list for a "regular" SWs, as a stop-gap player.

Southwest

Just curious... are those dot inlays in the forearm? I've never seen a satin with inlays like that before.

Nope. They are natural. It looks like knots in the wood. You can't feel them though. It makes the cue look very unique. .

Suge, just curious why you'd need a LOA on a stone-cold obvious satin South West cue ??

because I'm not an expert in identifying satin finish southwest cues and I like to make purchases with complete confidence.

Like I said, its a beautiful cue. Gl with the sale.
