Got stiffed by TX's top OB Tour woman.

Many Questions

Quick question: Why didn't she ask Sang if he had change for the $100?

Don't worry, I can think of lots of questions for both parties. Don't think we will ever get answers.

NONE of these problems, mis-understandings or..... however it ended up here.........would EVER happen if people would simply.....

POST UP ANY AMOUNT

I have played friends for $20 or $30 and simply dropped my money in a pocket or on a light.

Ray

ps. Hu you're a funny guy! LOL:p

Yes, I remember exactly what happened in the light thread. Steve's negative thread was without merit and Billiard Place could care a less.

I had a sign on expedited for Billiard-Place and they never used it.

I have heard both sides tell their version and here's what I'm hearing

Sang's story is posted here. Bonnie's story is different. She claims she went the bar to get change for a $100. When she returned, Sang was in a discussion with some 3 cushion players. She waited by the table they played at and the next time she saw Sang, he was walking out the door without collecting his money. She said that she figured he would just get it in 2 days when they would both be at G-Cues again.

Sang goes straight home and starts this thread.

That's all I know.

This is another story that we may never know what actually happened since we weren't there.

This is literally "He said,She said". LOL

We have cleared the "Top Ladies".

Sang was paid.

What else can we talk about?

Ray

You are such a nice guy, Bigtruck~ You're on my list;)

I say we talk about what a low down dirty dog Bigtruck is. Here we had a thread going for days with high drama, humor, maybe a stray death threat or two, and then you go and spoil it all. Just a simple misunderstanding and worse yet Sang got paid.

Can we all say, "Ray, you are no flipping fun!"

Haven't you got something better to do like count votes in Mn or sumthing? :D :D :D

Hu(Ray I'm going to send you green rep for this but with a nasty note!)

Sang tells a different story and I am inclined to believe him. Who doesn't pay up immediately unless other arrangements are made? NO ONE. It is a shame Ray calls his "friend" a liar by posting a so called other side.

true story about some letters

jimmyg said:
Back during the mid 70s recession my brother-in law came up with a new business venture idea, he decided to begin and operate a collection agency. His business plan was to make ONE phone call to talk to the debtor, followed up by a personal visit to the business (usually retail) with "Vito". His business model was to leave the store with either cash, a check, or the original merchandise.

He had about a 90% success rate.

Jim

I had a business with fifty accounts give or take a few. Somebody came in wanting to sell me some collection letters, a total of twelve I believe. They started off with a nice polite reminder and gradually got harsher and harsher until the last two were pretty radical. I looked them over, "How much you want for ten each of the last two?"

All of the accounts were thirty day net. I got busy and didn't send out bills for a few months. Everybody knew it was time to settle up the first of the month but about six or eight customers let it slide. I didn't need the money so I let it slide too. After three months I wrote them all a nasty letter telling them their account was 90 days overdue and would be cancelled if it wasn't paid immediately. As expected they all came running in to pay their bill and they were all making the claim, "You aren't going to believe this, I haven't been getting my bill!" I gave them all a highly skeptical look until the last one came in. He gave me the usual, "You aren't going to believe this . . . " and I gave him the look. Then I had to laugh. "I know Barney, I haven't been sending them!"

I didn't really see it that way

I honestly didn't see it as Ray calling anyone a liar. Ray posted the other side for someone that doesn't have access. We can all decide how much of either side to believe. To be honest, I don't care. What seems to be fact is that Sang was paid and they were gambling together again a few nights later. No need for the forum to make a bigger deal out of it than they did.

Though we will never know for sure, the pressure brought to bear is most likely the reason he finally got paid.

I don't think Bigtruck is taking any side. I think he's posted Bonnie's side of story out of courtesy and niceness of him. In attempt to help clean up her image - which was fine before this thread and end this once and for all. If Bonnie had created an account for herself and posted her reply, I think everyone would had jumped on her and the argument would had gone on and on. Ray probably wanted to spare her of hurting her image even more.

At this point, I don't care who was right or wrong. We all learned a valuable lesson of "Posting Up" - it makes gamblers honest - wow that's deep:rolleyes:

Oh, yeah. Most definitely.

She could have asked Sang if he had change, which he probably did since he was gambling in the first place. She could have gone up to him when he was talking to the 3-cushion players, or even stopped him as he was leaving, as she said he did.

Stop, plz

I just finished reading all 248 posts & my heading is spinning faster than the spin Earl Strickland put on the cue ball when he was in Austin giving an exhibition.

So please stop posting & let me write chapter 2.

Tommy,

I just told everyone what Bonnie said.

Kindly don't put words in my mouth.

Many of us on this thread, and simple reading the thread as lurkers, know both of these people.

They are both great assets to pool here in Texas. Granted Bonnie hasn't been here long, but she has been well received because of her love of pool and great sense of humor.

Sang is ALWAYS supportive of our events including doing some webcam streaming and Texas Open reporting. I always enjoy being around both of them.

They are both almost always in action.

Posting up would eliminate ALL of these type mis-understandings.

You might be right but when two players regularly play in the same hall they usually pay up small amounts like this. It isn't worth the aggravation and damage to your local reputation not to. I find it a little funny that they have done kissed and made up a night or two ago and we are all still discussing it on this thread.

What?

Are you advocating the gender of the air barreler is the only reason the thread was started?? I find it hard to believe you are playing the "poor poor pitiful me/woman" card.

What I want to know is....

if this was man who stiffed someone $40 would we hear about it in a thread?

if this was a man of a top men's tour would we hear about it in a thread?

Well you better spit it out quick, cause one of you is lying,LOL. Either she told you you weren't getting paid, which made you mad enough to want to fight, or you never even asked her for the cheese. Which "misunderstanding" was true?

I can't believe this thread! It's taken a life of its own and like a rubber necker, I can't stay off of it. Who knew a $40 bet would be the beginnings of such high drama. I vote for Sang and Bonnie "pool room drama" award winners.

TAR match! TAR match! TAR match!

I've already apologized twice in this thread about the questions... I can apologize again for asking what I thought was an innocent question. I APOLOGIZE if I offended anyone.

I wasn't playing any card. I promise. Ask anyone that knows me. I ask questions all the time (read my profile). It was NOT intentionally to indicate anything but a question I was wondering. No background, no ill-will, no intentions, no card, etc.

No words in your mouth, Ray. You posted her account, you decided it was plausable enough to be believed. Her story clearly is in conflict with Sang's story. You lent your reputation to her by agreeing to post for her.
