Got stiffed by TX's top OB Tour woman.

The Grudge Match

For this to happen, here are my conditions:

1. Money has to be posted up by this Sunday afternoon & held by some reputable person such as aka trigger or Bigtruck.

2. Race to 25 for the agreed amount or more.

3. TX Express rule with three foul rule in effect & jump cue allowed.

4. Balls racked by referee or rack your own.

If any one of the above conditions is not met, the deal is off.

There are some logistics that are still being worked out. Also 1 is having second thoughts.

This is nothing compared to the CUBC/OMGWTF death match. If they ain't playing for $3000 then I ain't watchin' - well I might watch a little......

But CUBC and OMGWTF set the bar for internet grudge matches between amateurs. THE BAR on TAR no less.

consider adding a "strip" amendment, the side action could be mind boggling...

I feel like I am in junior high just by reading this whole thing. I talked with Bonnie about it last night before I read the thread. Sounded like it was just a misunderstanding and someone jumping the gun a bit quick.

Bonnie is a good person and a great player.

alright i bite...what's the amount...and is this going to happen at the fast eddies tournament this weekend....man i would like to watch and maybe sweat this match out...this is going to be good!!

40 dollar stiffin

This thread needs juicing up some. Posts are slowing down to quickly. I have a 40 dollar bet with a fellow AZer that this thread will make 40 pages. We are now at only 31. I dont want to stiff no-one for a lousy 40 dollars so lets get those posts coming in. Thanks for all future posting.

So tonight she saw me at a local pool hall & again wanted to play me some. I said "let's play $2/game" She laughed & refused to play. Then I said "OK let's play a race to 5 for $20 & I only have time to play for two sets. And I beat her both sets. I waited a little & see if she was going to pay me. I looked around & didn't see the money anywhere. I told her "you owe me $40". She said "yeah". That was it. Then I told "you're not going to pay me?" She again said "yeah". But still no money. So I got the hint that she was not going to pay. I just walked out.

Fyi: If you ask someone if they owe you $40 and they say, "Yeah." Then that means they recognize that they still owe you and generally plan to pay you.

When you ask, "You're not going to pay me?" and they say, "yeah." It's possible they didn't quite hear you and assumed that you actually asked, "You're going to pay me?"

Also as someone else pointed out, even if they did hear you, answering, "No." doesn't necessarily sound right either.

IMO not paying instantly or asking for change right there are small mistakes compared to smearing someone's name on the internet over what easily could have been a misunderstanding due to some alcohol or noise in the pool hall without really giving them a chance to prove whether they were stiffing you or not.

I don't know either player as I live in Washington but I wanted to post this because I feel sorry for Bonnie.

We can always do something on the cheap...say a race to three for $5...
