Grand opening schmidts (mr. 400) billiards

I am sure that Mr 400 will do well with this place. Good luck to him anyway and I got to find a way to get out there and see it.

Is this his 2nd pool hall?

I could have swore he opened up one a few months ago, the one where the mad boyfriend was fired along with his girlfriend.

does john post on this forum? it'd be cool to see if he remembers meeting me a few years back.

Very, very cool for John to make the significant effort to promote the game. Room ownership is a very tough and demanding role; but vitally necessary if our game is to flourish.

If more pro's made such effort to promote and expand the sport, we would all benefit.

Mark Wilson also sends his regards and best wishes; we are both hoping for great success for John. Elvicash and I will DEFINITELY make a road trip for some pool, and hopefully for some straight pool lessons.

Schmitty can do it all.

Insulation
Repair
Recover tables
Serve Drinks
Run the Schmidt out of balls.
Entrepreneur extraordinary.
Oh yeah, he teaches pool very well and provides pool lessons for a good price.

Way to go, John!

WBM and I are planning for a road trip to Wheeling hoping to learn some 14.1 from the master.

Good luck to you in all your endeavors John.

Jay...It's the same place. It's just taken a while to get everything the way JS wanted it, before he opened.

Best of luck John Schmidt! It sounds like a great addition to Wheeling's pool scene! Like I said before, Randy and I would love to do a 3-day pool school at your new room!

John's new room

Hello everyone,

The grand opening of schmidts billiards will be Dec. 8th with a lot of improvements to the former s-bridge. Just arrived this week were two 9 ft tournament blue Diamond tables with pro cut pockets and two more 7ft diamond tables also, bringing this to a total of 8 tables. New paint and carpet, new menu, great hoagies, and a dance floor. John has gotten a liquor license is now serving all your favorite beverages and soft drinks. There is also a internet juke box and a seperate room for video gambling. Come join the fun and we hope to see you there. The phone number for Schmidts Billiards is 304-905-8495. Address is 818 McCullough St. Wheeling, WV.

There's no better room to represent than your own. Best of luck to a great player and a nice guy.

John told me that he wanted to open his own pool room 10+ years ago...I am glad his dream came true. Hard work, determination, and love for the game will keep it afloat. But a bunch of customers might help also. Good Luck John!

I think it is alot of pool player's dreams to have their own pool room...really kewl!

Best of luck to you John, I met you a couple of years ago at Valley forge (I was the Irish snooker player who gave you the stance lesson!!). You seemed like a stand up guy to me and I hope it all goes great for you. My wife went to Wheeling Jesuit for 3 years so we have some good friends in that town too.
