Great Outs !!!

Not to defend the commentators, but it is deceiving to call shot from the booth. There were a couple shots that you couldn't tell it they would go or not. But I agree, I love when players think outside of the box and come up with different patterns. I find it fun trying to predict what a player will do differently from what I would do and then ask myself if it is a better option or not. Many ways to skin a chicken, but usually one way is the most efficient.
Melling is a different dude for sure lol he sees things differently

Interesting interview with Chris Melling a while back. When he practises he doesn’t shoot shots he knows he can make..…
…..he shoots shots that are traps.

That out is amazing but it’s a valley with bucket pockets for guys that are used to playing on 4 inch pockets . he feels like he can’t miss anything I’m sure lol
Can we please stop with all the Valley bucket pockets talk?
You have to get out, period.
Like the talk about running a few hundred in straight pool with 5" pockets and how many people thought it was so easy.

no we can’t. It 4 3/4 inch pockets with no shelf. I run out easily on them . If you watch when guys like svb play in that Reno bar box open they don’t even aim. Lol if we doubled or tripled the size of a golf hole making putts wouldn’t be quite as impressive. Size matters.

there were 4 inch pockets though for the most recent Ultimate Pool tournament

I've got games for days for you. Maybe 10 ball ghost?

sure I beat it on my diamond all the time with 4 1/4 pockets. I didn’t say it wasn’t a great out but if your saying there is no difference between running a table on a 7 foot table with 4 3/4 or a 9 foot table with 4 inch pockets your not worth having a conversation with. That’s just dumb.

the table he was playing on was 7 foot valley with 4 3/4 pockets. I’m not talking about matchroom tournaments on 4 inch pockets.

Are you talking about the Melling runout? I thought the most recent Ultimate Pool event was played on Valleys with 4 inch pockets

Oops, sorry, I thought this was in the vein of great outs by us. I removed this one by me. If someone would like it posted back I can

I'll put it back in. It is a good out, if I do say so myself...lol

Here's one of me BNRing a tenball rack starting off with a kickshot after the break while playing against the late, great Amar Kang. He won the set, but I'm still proud of the runout. Especially considering that The streamer later states he doesn't think anyone has had a BNR on that table since it played so tough. I'm pretty sure that Amar had one in this set with me too. It was a diamond with 4" pockets.

Nice out Kid!!

Terrible loss. Amar was too young.

Met him at Legends in Houston with Tony in 2006. Cool dude for sure!!

I believe Tony forfeited out of the Galveston Classic because he was gambling all night and all day.

Legends is in League City not that far from Galveston.
