Great Pool Player Monikers

The Calculator isn't bad or PC3 (Personal Computer Colin Colenso)

I was going for Colin 'The Shanghai Pony' Colenso.

The "Shanghai Pony"???? I never knew there were ponies in Shanghai.... I guess you learn something new every day...anyway... I still the Triple C thing... but you should find something that goes with this Natural Cures theme... I said "Cleanser"... but we could ditch all that & look at names like "Crusher" or "CashGrabber" or "Culo Head" - something that's catchy... besides... you don't even look like a pony!

I dunno, Colin, I like the Calculator too. Very intimidating, like the Terminator, except with a slide rule.

Colin "The Q-Man" Colenso
Colin The Quick
Colin The Quotient
Quarky Colin Colenso (a quark is the bond that holds the atom together, they say it is the strongest force in the world, but it's early yet...LOL)

OK I'm...Colin it Quits  :D

Love that Donovan! ROFL

Someone tried to name him after a computer, but how about the Commodore 64? Commodore Colenso.
Cabbage Colenso
14Kt Colenso
Cueball Colenso
Kid Colenso
How about Kevin's Kid Colenso
Or how about Colin the Cutie (just don't refer to the IPT website pic, lol)

I don't really care for the nicknames that 1) are some sort of play on the player's name (too unoriginal) or 2) don't fit the player at all (I see some of these on the WPBA tour). I like Buddy Hall's (The Rifleman). It fits his overall image, I think, and he does shoot the eyes out of the balls. "Captain Hook" is another good one. "The Magician" is a very fitting nickname for Efren (although, he's "Bata" to his countrymen). There are some more but I can't think of any of them right now. :)

Who's that?
He's Colin "The Ball".
Yeah OK, but which pocket is he calling?

Sounds like a "Who's On First" skit beginning to develop...;)

Funny, I have never asked this before, but what does BATA mean?

Sometimes you are just not right. LOL I am serious. ;) What does it mean?

Bata:

Reyes' nickname "Bata" means "youth" or "kid" in Tagalog. The moniker was given to Reyes by friends at his regular billiards hangout to distinguish him from an older player with an identical given name.

Thank you sweetie! :) I didn't really want to go to bed until I learned at least one more thing. Nite nite! ZZZzzzzzz

LMAO...esp. Cabbage:D

I'm certainly not the photogenic type. I'd like to think I'm a little kinder on the eyes than on the lens:o

Thanks to all for the serious, semi-serious and joking recommendations.

I do like 'Calculator' as certainly it is something I do a lot. Doesn't mean it necessarily works:( ...but it is and has been a nature of my game and my approach to it for years:)

Call me Shanghai too if you want to save a few keystrokes....can improve my marketability over here:D

Colin "The Calculator" Colenso (3C) for short.

Yay! I win the contest! Woohoo.

Sorry Calculator, but I just trademarked the moniker "Calculator" after my last post to you. Therefore, you're required to pay me a royalty fee of 10% of all your IPT winnings as long as you refer yourself as the Calculator. Since you signed your last post with my trademarked moniker this new year, you'll have to give me 10% of your 2006 winnings. So if you're guaranteed at least $16k, then by law you owe me $1.6k (Calculate that boy!). Check, money order, or paypal will do just fine. Thanks for you business Calculator. :D

Back to Shanghai. :D

Cabbage is starting to look better now, huh, Colin? I only charge 3%.

I think you need to play up the whole "white guy living in China" thing. I'm thinking Colin "The Asian Invasion" Colenso, or maybe Colin "The Scourge of the Orient" Colenso.

Or since you came from a foreign land to conquer (and I'm pretty sure I use the term conquer very loosely) China's pool scene, perhaps "Genghis Khan" would be good.

No No No... You haven't won anything yet... we need to put it up for a vote... I say someone should start a poll and have everyone vote on Colin's new nickname.... I'm still holding for "Cleanser"... and I think it'll win! Calculator? That's aweful!

"Here comes "The Calculator" and his trusty sidekick... The Pocket Protector!!!" Gimme a break. We can do better than that.

I nominate for the ballot.... Colin "Cleanser" Colenso....
and.................................Colin "YOU OUT" Colenso...

I think both of them work pretty well... but we need more nominations for the official ballot... Linda.. you're in charge of all this... (because I'll cheat :D )...and I think you'd do a great job!
