Great Story written about the heydays

I was just told tonight that this was just a piece out of Harmon’s 2nd book about the golden era of pool.

Both books are being passed onto me to read, and I am really looking forward to reading them.

I believe he does a print on demand from a fulfillment service. Similar to what Phil Capelle does. This way it keeps the cost down. I will inquire with him when I see him next.

Good story but I'm not sure he is correct about Irving Crane being a hustler.

Loved Harmon's article. Julian's was my regular although I frequently went to Ames. I was most grateful for the mention of O'Brien's. I spent an entire New Year's Eve there in 1964 and had forgotten its name.

Great article, other than getting Irving Crane's nickname wrong. He wasn't Irving "the preacher" Crane but instead Irving "the deacon" Crane.

The preacher is Don Feeney.
