Spent several hours last night with Mark Gregory. He was working on a friend's antique Brunswick. The man does beautiful work. Highly recommended.

He's my brother, but didn't grow up as big as I did, because he was always late to the dinner table....LOL and yes, he is for sure one of the best table mechanic's in this country, world for that matter:grin:

I hear you have a little talent in that field also?

Only a little bit, but Mark is Mark, the "Mongoose" Gregory:grin:

Your so crazy Glen.....trust me I still get all my questions answered by Glen...He's the only one I know of that can do rails correctly....he truly knows a lot more about pool tables than anyone I have ever met.

Glen gives up more than anyone in the world to do absolutely perfect work on tables.Glen can ask anything of me....anytime.
I have learned more in the last few years talking with Glen...than I have from anyone I've ever talked with.
Ok...I did what I said I was going to do....now send the FIFTY...:D

Some of the new things we just figured out in the last few weeks on rails...is awesome. Tables play so much better.

Mark is the real deal! He's very respected for his work, with players and mechanics alike. His rail and pocket work is top notch. Mark really knows his trade. Helluva player as well.

You're just being modest Mark, but that's OK, that's how we are anyway, no titles needed, just let the work speak for itself;)

I just finished a Gandy 9ft, cue ball travel is 5 times the length of the table, and 9 banks around the world, 4 1/2" corners & 5" sides, Artemis pool K66 cushions, Simonis Tour Blue 860HR, re-calibrated the sub-rails, and set the nose height to a perfect 1 3/8"ths. Had to even take the slate off the frame and remove all the shims, replaced all the slate screws with 1/4" x 20 x 4" machine screws as they hold the slates in place MUCH better than the wood screws do....try that on a Gabriel's 9ft...LOL

Don't know him, but I've seen a few around here do their thing and in the St. Louis area, Cueball is *by far* the best table mechanic in the area.

If we're asking who the best is in any area....which no one was.....Glen's the best in any area he's in. Never heard of Cueball...or of his work.
Maybe you misunderstood the thread....was only about a job done on and antique table.
