greatest rack of 9 ball...

Excellent video. The reverse english kick on the 1 is worth watching all by itself.

Great video, but...what's up with those balls?? They should be on a christmas tree, not pool table...

Off the charts incredible. Two masters at the height of their powers.

Chao was involved in another off the charts incredible rack at double hill in the quarterfinal of the 2004 World Pool Championships aganst Pagulayan.

Thanks for posting this.

Wow, yeah, another amazing Chao moment. Coming back down 10-5 to make it double hill. Having no shot on the one and pushing to a jump. Talk about overcoming adversity. Amazing play from both Chao and Pagulayan.

Oh yeah, Chao in this form against Bustamante...another amazing showing of nerves, shot making, and creativity.

Don't forget about how the advent of the jump cue, by devaluing defense very well-played, has, at least to a point, randomized who wins and who loses. Bustamante's safety, which left Chao the object ball far away and "small" to kick at, would have won the rack almost every time in the days before the jump stick.

i agree to a point... it's not like chao's jump shot happens alot. He jump-cut a ball that was on the other side of the table. Even for pros i'm sure this shot is 1~2 out of 10. I've made jump shots of that nature before, trust me for the most part you're just swinging and hoping and every once in a while you get lucky. i think this was more along the viens of the 9ball missing the pocket and going 2 rails into another hole.

For most pros I would agree...but to quote Denzel in Training Day, Chao is surgical with that *****.

I've seen Chao consistently nail what is hail-mary jumpshots to almost any other player. I think he put in hundreds of hours with the jumper on the practice table.
