Can someone explain them to me? I've gotten 2 in the past week. Not that I am complaining, I just wondered how you get them. I certainly have yet to figure out how to give them. Maybe the almighty Mr. Wilson will know...

How it goes is that the more rep points you have, the more rep points you can bestow (or take away) when you give rep. For example, if you have no points, giving someone rep will, likewise, bestow 0 points and it will be represented in gray. On the other hand, the posters that have 2000 points can give you 50 or 75 rep points in one wop!

I believe that you are correct in theory on what you stated. But the calculation/formula for determining how many rep points you give is more complex. I don't know how it works but yesterday I received rep that was worth 15 points from some one with 1 green square where usually 2 or 3 green squares is worth like 2-3 points. The difference was that the person giving 15 points has been a member for 3 plus years with over 400 posts. So with that info I am assuming that the number of posts and/or time as a member are also factored in some how.
