Grit of Sandpaper?

I like a 2"x3" piece of 80 grit. I keep a piece in my bag all of the time...JER
 
I like 80 grit also, the newer generation Norton or 3M.

I just use a willards shaper . They are cheap and I am happy with the results.

I shape the tip on the lathe when I first install it.
After that, all it sees is a Tip-Pik.
