Groundbreaking new cue technology

Hello Neil,

Is the spring mechanism in the 360 sensitive enough to pick up subtle flaws in one's stroke or do the flaws have to be more pronounced for the cue to respond? The young lad in the video demonstration does look to be exaggerating some of the incorrect motions of the stroke for the obvious but will it pick up on the slightest of cross-over flaws.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your query.
The 360 is designed to be just about strong enough to hold itself together in a straight line when held parallel to the flaw in one hand at the butt end. The cue will pick up all subtle flaws in the cue action when the players cue path and tempo is out of sync. Training the cue path and cue tempo to correspond is the secret to every individuals best action because they are interlinked. In other words, the line is only as good as the tempo and vice versa.
Cheers.

I would also like to be added for the review list. What a great way of testing it out at my school.
Thanks

Neil,

Would Predator be one of the Cue Manufacturers for the Pool market? Would be a great fit considering their fan base and Marketing.

Hopefully yes. The good thing about the our technology is it's all in the butt so I suppose it could be married up with any shaft within reason.
Thanks Jaw.

Hi Rufus.
Thanks for your interest. The Snooker 360 you see on the video is derived from a one piece cue. The mechanism just happens to give the impression there is a joint. The Pool 360 will come in a standard centrally jointed two piece, but the mechanism will still be in a similar position to that in the Snooker version. There has been a lot of trial and error with the positioning of this mechanism but we have it right now and it still leaves room for a wrap(optional).
Hope this helps.
Neil. :)

Thanks Neil.

Thanks for adding me to the list of reviewers.

Neil...You might consider having a booth at the BCAPL national championship in Las Vegas in May. There will be 8000 amateur poolplayers attending that event. We have a room with some tables, where our school gives free lessons, and clinics the main week of the event.

Hi Steve.
Your right, we wont be ready for SBE. Will look into BCA link though.
Thanks.

Pricing

The company's website:
http://www.gravitycue.com/default.aspx

Prices (rounded up, and presumably w/o postage):
Snooker gravity cue: $260
360 training cue: $350

Hi there

Just thought I would give the correct prices from our web site www.gravitycue.com

Snooker gravity cue: $260
360 training cue: $96

Postage to the USA is $60 thereabouts

I would imagine the American Pool Cues would be a very similar price depending on cue maker.

Regards.
Neil.

it would be nice to be able to adjust the spring. so someone with a ton of flaws can comfortably work their self up to a perfect stroke without getting completly discouraged.

Thanks Scott.
Sounds interesting, will look into this. Is it possible to gain access to tables throughout the week at this type of event if we did acquire a booth? It would be great to work with some of the players with the products and alongside top US Coaches.
Cheers.

We looked into this but the ratio we settled on took into account that players with a number of heavy flaws can still attempt to conquer the cue in a certain range before moving on to more challenging shots that where initially outside their comfort zone. Due to the instant feedback the cue provides to the player these improvements can happen surprisingly quickly.

Neil...You can have a table set up in your booth (talk to Mark Griffin about this), and you would certainly be welcome to put on a clinic or two, in our room, to demonstrate your products. We'll be set up 5/17 through 5/21.

Thanks Scott, I would really look forward to such a scenario. I will contact Mark Griffin and find out what we need to do. Will let you know how we get on.
Thanks again.

Anyone know if Gravity Cues went to BCA? Any thoughts? Any update on American pool versions of Gravity Cue and the 360 cue?

ndakotan...AFAIK, the guys with these cues did not come to Vegas for the BCAPL. They certainly didn't have a booth, and we never saw or heard from them, while we were doing clinics in our room all week. Hopefully they will be coming to the trade show next month in Vegas, where I'll be able to test that training cue.
