I have a GTF Prestige 2X4 and I doubt the lid will ever slide off by itself in our lifetime. I'd go for the one with no lock.

I'm buying a 1x2 GTF from Roy at IndyQ and I'm trying to decide which version to get.

I'm torn between the Black Lizard without lock and the Black Lizard with lock.

I like the clean look of the case without but like the added security of a lock so when the case gets old the lid doesn't slide off on it's own.

What do you all think?.

My GTF Prestige has the friction top and to get it open takes a firm grip. When the lid comes off it makes that thump noise, has to be almost air tight. Yep the clean look is good!

I have to agree. Without the lock, it looks *too* clean, sort of like a black creosoted fence post, or a very, very skinny version of the monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey" (I can just picture this thing partially inserted into the ground, with that music playing, and the chimp approaching it... )

Just my humble, probably meaningless opinion, though. And I'm probably in the minority.
