gtf case

Haven't seen better of the tube type case!
I had a lizard Fellini type tube GTF case in my hands yesterday. It had black lizard embossed cowhide leather. I inspected the construction, the lining, the latch, how a cue fit inside, and the top and bottom seams. I came to the conclusion that it was the nicest and best constructed case of that type that I had seen. FYI, I am not a GTF dealer and have no political views to express about GTF or where or how the cases are made. I just know a quality product when I see and handle it. FWIW, my personal preference is for a case that has easy to access pockets, shoulder strap, and holds several cues. TY and GL.

Is the city the cases are made in, "Xiamen, China" really in communist China? Or in Tiwan know formally as Formosa.

Xiamen, is an island that lies 300 miles west of Taiwan. Is is beautiful, temperate, quiet and clean. The people are lovely and genuine.
Most of the Taiwanese come from the province (state) of Fujian that Xiamen is located in. Thus the local language is very close to that of Taiwan.
In China each province has it's own language. There is one common langauge Mandarin, and common writing but each langauge is distinct and different.

Those are so 80s. Now they come with a little chip card and tiny speaker like the talking Christmas cards that says, "hello, I was made in China" every time you open the case.
I think that next year it will be a US Law that all things must have these chip card devices on all consumer goods including those made in the USA and that it will against the law for any consumer to disable them. Thus all you will hear all day is "hello, I was made in ......"
Apparently this is thought by the government to be the easiest way to make sure that the people of Earth aren't mislead into thinking that their goods were made in Chicago.
Recently Chicago was chosen as the city where all the greatest things come from so there has been a huge increase in goods pretending to be from Chicago. I hear that one case maker even uses "Chicago screws" when the screws are really made in Detroit or China I forget which.

I can't believe this topic is still bothering some people. If half the effort that was put into these threads was put into alternate fuels, ways to reduce pollution and conserve energy, or get Brittany Spears clean we would certainly live in a better world. Let it go! If you don't like the case and where it's made don't ****ing buy it! Personally I'm not buying one cause I like a strap on my case and I think it's a bit expensive... amongst other reasons. Isn't anyone else bored of this thread and related threads?
