Well, not exactly what you expected to see....

A little back story......I lost my Aussie to cancer two years ago. It has taken me this long to settle on another dog.

Coty is a year old Aussie that was from a breeder that was going out of business. This breeder was going to have this dog put down due to the cost of feeding and caring for him. Lucky for him and us, the owner was convinced to give him up for adoption.

Takes a confident woman to say that...

Cody

Just don't give him that pretty Tascarella as a chew toy. He may not be around long.

All joking aside, nice pick up my friend.

Thanks guys! We tried another Aussie about a year ago with no luck. I think it has a lot to do with breeding and socialization. We tried for about two months and had to take him back to the owners. He was just too attached to his "pack".

With a little time and effort, we will have a well rounded dog that will be great company and fun. I don't think he has a mean bone in his body.

Thank you for adopting. I volunteer training and fostering dogs with an adoption organization. Personally, I'd love to put every breeder out of business, particularly the commercial kind. The fact that you didn't put money in their pocket, helps the effort.

Beautiful dog! You'll have many great years together.

This dog has it tuff......LOL I should have named him Shadow because he is always right behind me or in t he middle of anything I am working on..LOL

Beautiful dog. All of my dogs are rescues. I know how you feel. I put down one of my Labs last year. Had her for 14 years. Best dog I ever had. She was regal. She allowed me to be her master. I have a feeling your new Aussie hit the lottery.

Nice job on saving the dog, there are too many abandoned animals out there. We got befriended by a cat after my wife and daughter fed it a few times, it started to hang out on our porch and would sit in our laps. Took it to a vet, turned out it was pregnant. We took it in and now have 2 lovely kittens along with the mommy in addition to our other 3 cats, all of which were rescued. One from a friend that could not take the cat when he moved, another my daughter brought in as a kitten that was hanging out at the dumpster at her work and the third was from friends of the neighbors. 6 cats in the house now and all have their own way of showing affection and caring for us and each other.

It takes a long time to find a pet that fits into the family. Adaptions will help narrow down your search by disclosing the animal's personality. For 250.00, you get a pet with a known history, spade/neutered, all shots, and, micro chipped. All in all a great deal for a lifetime friend.

If you are considering a pet in the near future, search out your local adoption foundations and you might be surprised at what you will find.
