WIN
That's right! I convinced the hubs to take me out to the local tourney last night and I WON First Place:dance:. The prize???? $20 bar tab or food:yeah:.

We stopped visiting the local tourney when the kids school started last fall. But since we (by "we" I mean the HUBS) have a new custom cue in the house from one of AZB's finest, we had to hit road and do some rounds in our local stomping grounds. Everyone likes it very much and were very impressed with the craftsmanship :thumbup2: (Thanks Kim ).

It was nice to win for a change. I've been struggling with my game in the 3 weeks. Ever since I started trying out a new prescription to replace my glasses with contacts, my vision has been shot. For some reason the contacts are irritating my eyes and totally obliterating my game because, I can't focus or see clearly during game time, and my field of view seems to be in the exact same place that the contacts irritate my eyes or I may have be having some allergic reaction to them. The whole thing seems very strange because they feel okay so long as I'm not play pool. Now I'm back to wearing glasses and I shoot without glasses or contacts. I'm scheduled to see the doc on Monday and hopefully we can try some other brand of contacts. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

And if you made it this far...
Thanks:grin-square:

It can take a while for your eyes to get used to contacts, especially if you've got sensitive eyes. Kind of like building up calluses. But hang in there; they're worth it. Congrats on the victory!

being a -7.50 prescription, you know I need the correction;) I use night n day contacts! They seem to be the best for me for pool! But, and this may not work for you, I accidentally got a lenses that were one size to big! What I mean is the b.c.#! Well, let me tell ya,,,,, the happiest moment of my life when I got down on the shot!!! EVERTGING was so crystal clear! Anyway, talk to the doc and see what they say, my doc told me as long as your comfortable, your fine! And let me tell ya, I'm comfortable! By the way, if I remember, the number was 12.8b.c. and they gave me 13.2b.c. congrats on the win:) hope this helps!

Cool Beans,:clapping:

I think we all remember our first tourney win.:yeah: ...or atleast where it was.:scratchhead:

Im also voting for you to be on the 2014 Mosconi Cup team next year!

So Work On That Break!:groucho:

Congrats on your win.

I know what you mean about contacts, the first time I switched to them I swear the balls looked more like eggs then round, guess my perception was changed. It was also the time when smoking was not banned indoors so it made for uncomfortable nights.

About 15 years ago I went the lasik route and have not looked back since. Have you looked into it?

WIN
