cues this year?

Here is what i wanted ,many of my earler friends and favorites are no longer with us

George Balabushka was finishing two cues for me when he died.Gus had my cue on his lathe when he was taken,

Barry has that one,Craig Petersen was finishing my Ivory wrapped cue when he died,Jerry Franklin had just finished
an ivory wrapped cue for me when I got the call.

Verl wasn't making cues when he left this world or I would have been on the list

I have been around too long

These are the great ones today that are sending me cues in 2019

Paul Drexler just finished Mighty Mouse for me

Larry Vigus is making me 2 box cues

Bob Runde is making me a R13 and some players of his design

Bob Owen is making me a Balabushka Tribute with some of George's green
and blue acrylic and a beaufiful 6 point cue

Jerry Rauenzahn might be making me a 360 Brunswick style cue in ebony
It might be the last one he makes for me

and Laurie Franklin is making me an ebony on ebony

These are the greatest living cue makers in my opinion

at least these are the ones I want for myself

Some of these guys are winding down Raunzahn and Runde are talking retirement

Drexler is not getting any younger,he has reached the very top of the profession with
ability to do things no one else can do,his wife Ellen might be the genius behind the genius

Did you see Wylie Coyote?Mighty Mouse?
He is working on another fabulous Commanche Dancer type project which will be my last one
and by far the most unusual.

Funny story,I just hit his cue for the first time,I had bee buying for beauty and I discovered they play good too.

Bob Runde threatens to retire, what a cue maker! He still makes great cues
After giving us the great Schons ,he has been quietly making custom cues for close friends
for the most part.
Fancies himself a golfer, shot his age,or at least told me he did,you know pool players

Bob Owen is the king f the box cue,but he does every style anyone ever thought of and might be the best ever
Bob started making simple plain designs for Jack Shurtz and developed into one great cue maker

He still takes orders, you ought to get one while it is possible

Larry Vigus doesn't take orders,is only in it for a Hobby

What a talent! Everything he does,he does well
This guy won't take orders and yet he is becoming famous among high end collectors

These are my favorites, feel free to talk about yours
i know there are some greats out there

All your Stories confuse me. Here you put the terminal whammy on half a dozen high end cue makers. Glad I don't turn cues with you as a customer.

In another you sell great hitting cues from McDermott for only a hundred percent markup. Now your giving away these great cues to whoever tells you a good story.

Then you sell Schon tributes and now want to buy one back.

I understand art for arts sake. But have you ever found a player that was a keeper?

Dean gets it. If you had ever called and talked to him,did a cue deal with him,you would know he is one of the sharpest guys here. When me,you, whoever,on azb dies, noone is gonna say much. But Dean campbell will be remembered"you remember that eccentric guy who never would post pictures, but loved to write a good gambling short story" yeah"i remember him".

Well, i guess he's got that to look forward to. I wonder if someone will snap a pic of his casket? I imagine he's gonna have Vigus/Owen/Rauenzahn/Runde team-up to build it. ;)

Probably couldn’t I know at least in my home state you can build your own or give one away but to sell one you got to be a licensed funeral director.....if that ain’t some bs

Age has nothing to do with it. He's stubborn and refuses to learn how to do it; most likely afraid he'll make a mistake.

We all want pictures. Period. Dean likes pictures. He comments on every single cue in the gallery. I wonder if Busboy is a love child of his...I digress...We just want pictures. Matt D.

Dean......you have a busy menu to complete.....three cues stood out......Bob, Bob & Jerry.
The R13 sounds wonderful and the Balabushka Tribute is truly right up my alley as well.
Jerry's 360 designs are just the best and with your taste in cues, all of these will be great.

When the time arrives, as we both know always does with you and your cues. we'll have to
chat more. The willingness to share great pool cues has become your hallmark trait on Az.

The Bushka Tribute cue really has been me curious about its features. I love the GTB design
by Tascarella. If it's close to anything like GTB, consider me very interested when you're ready.

For God's sake...quit ordering cues! Surely you see a connection here. If I were a top cue builder I'd refuse your calls.

Dean has a lot of cues coming his way this year, but I only have one, that I know of, that I'll be acquiring soon.

It won't be coming from any of the big name guys that he is getting cues from, but it will be coming from Dean, himself.

It is disguised to look like a "cheap" McDermott that is made overseas, but it really is a cue that was "Taylor-made" for me. Perfect weight, perfect balance, perfect specs all around.

He will walk into the pool rooms with all his fancy cues and people will gather around and ogle and ah and stand in line to buy them.

I will walk into the pool hall with my "Taylor-made" and they will gather around to laugh, Heehaw-style, and line up to play. His cues may make a lot of money right off the bat, but this cue may gather more money in the long run than any of his cues will. I may even do it the hard way...taking it from them $2 at a time...old school style.

Pictures
nobody really likes pictures do they?

Not when they really want something special

But If you guys are nice for a change I will try to get Larry Vigus to post pictures in the gallery on my box cues
Drexler posted the Mighty Mouse Cues and will definitely post pictures of the Commanche Dancer Style

Bob Owen will post the beautiful pictures when the Balabushka Tributes are ready

Jack Potter can post the Runde,he wants to borrow it

Jerry Rauenzahn will post pictures of the final Brunswick 360

And I am not posting pictures of any South west cues ever
let the new owners post the pictures

Hawaiian Eye can post his undercover special if he wants

I am mentioning these cue makers because I have always been luck to choose the best

From Balabushka to Szamboti to South West i loved them

Now I love Vigus,Drexler,Owen ,Runde ,Rauenzahn i,South west
in no special order

Just advice from someone with experience

You guys are invited to pick your own favorites
my feeling are not involved

Sometimes I don't buy because the cue makers don't keep their word on delivery
Their cues are nice,it's just me.I like to work with people who treat me the way I like to be treated

I forgot John ,JC on here is making me a long cue

He made me one and I loved the cue,he is a great talent but like Vigus,he is a working man also

he still meets his obligations on time,he is just limited in the number of orders he can take
