Either way, we are shooting for 1001 at minimum. Most likely we will stop shortly thereafter by pure exhaustion if not by choice.
The claim was mad previously 1000 games in 45 hours. On the break and combos count. Balls all racked by another person. No defensive shots. Playing to assist the other player in making balls. No need for a hard bank shot, easier to bump the ball open and allow the opponent to run out. This is not competitive 9 ball. Just short of speed pool

Essentially, I am looking for two cues much lighter than I normally play with. Swinging a 1 1/4 lb cue 9000 times will get quite tiresome. An additional shaft in case something were to happen, or the tip wear out even.
Sponsorship adds validity to any event and would go towards substantiating the Guinness claim. The verification process can be somewhat stringent. This is a good thing to keep anyone from saying they performed this at home and having some friends sign a statement.
The point of this event is not just to get a name in the record book, it is to promote the game. Doing so in a darkly lit room with three people watching does not do such a thing. Television coverage and media exposure does. These are the things we are seeking to help gain interest in pool in our area and state. You can view some of my tournament post topics to see where I have been promoting some regional tournaments here, but these have not brought much attention from our local area. I am trying all I can to make this a large promotion.
They say business is location, location, location. Events are promotion, promotion, promotion.
