Gulyassy signs up Earl as new player Rep

I was actually amazed at how well Earl 'did' play with a Cuetec, if his game takes a leap, one would think the Duchess of Doom may be in for a change.
Women like security. I think her Cuetec contract relieves a lot of pressure since she does not have to win to eat. I don't think she will change unless a better offer comes along or Cuetec drops her.
Congratulations Mike. I wish you and Earl all the best.

Canwin, this will be the one and only warning about obnoxious insulting posts.

........just talked to Mike. Gulyassy cues WILL have a booth in Vegas at the BCA events. Mike is very approachable so everyone please take the time to go to his booth & check out his cues, break cues and of course discuss Earl.

Earl just left my shop minuets ago and said he loves his new Gulyassy playing cue and his new Gulyassy break jump. We have just agreed to work with each other creating a new Earl Strickland Line of cues and he is also using the new Gulyassy break jump cue. He said he understands now how his opponents have been breaking and playing well enough to beat him in the past. Earl told me he loves his new equipment. As far as the tournament Saturday he told me that he left because of the people on the next table trying to jump a close jump shot that made him leave. They were making a lot of unnecessary racket while he was breaking and running out the first two racks. These were people that knew better and anyone trying to play a match would have told them to stop.

Great news, I love watching Earl play despite his antics now and again.
BTW, you should add a signiture to your profile with a link to your website.

MIke's cues play as good as any cue I have ever owned.

I have owned many high end cues over the years. Josey, S/W, Chudy, Mcdaniel, Schick, Mcworter, Cognoscenti, JW, Mottey etc.

I bought my first Gulyassy about 3 years ago and I won't be shooting with anything else ever again. I think I have bought at least 5 of his cues and sold off much of what I have owned over the years. Now, I have changed designs quite a few times, but I keep the Gulyassy name in my equipment line up.

While I will always argue that the shaft, tip and Ferrule determine how a cue feels, responds and acts...Mike's work is impecible and topped by no other cue maker under the sun. and he STANDS BEHIND HIS WORK.

Just a foot note: I was there when Earl was practicing with his new cue, and he was hitting 'em dead. That man has more game than a freaking Playstation.

He is actually a very nice and friendly guy.

We should all step back and consider with all of our critique of this man...what if we were trying to do our jobs (you know, the one we try to feed our family with) and some jerk walked up and broke our concentration and cost us our paycheck? I can tell you now, folks would be talking about what I NUT I was too all the way across to the West Coast of Europe. You cost me my paycheck, and I guarantee more will happen than just me walking away. I am sure the news story would be absolutely incredible. Man loses Eyeball while trying to free Pool Cue from rear end.

Now, I might leave on a stretcher when all is said and done...but either way some one would definitely be carrying me away. LOLOL

Mike,

Good luck with your venture with Earl. I think yo have a winner on your hands and now that he is no longer playing with a POS...I believe there are going to be some folks waking up very soon. Look what he did with Cuetec!

I'm thinking more like the Jerry Springer effect...LOLz

Is it OK to pile on cantwin? :p :p

I try not to do it that too often except when Smorgas-bored, Tampa-Tubby, Bob, Doug gets out of line.

Differences of opinions are welcomed here on the forum. Correction, admonishment and criticism (while sometimes difficult to swallow) are also welcomed when it is distributed with a slight modicum of civility. These differences of opinion build character, correct poor thinking, reinforce correct thinking and often times opens windows in a person's life that they might not be otherwise exposed to. It helps to mold us as human beings. If you happen to share something that others appreciate or find valuable, they acknowledge it and you get to feel all warm and fuzzy. :D

If we become disenchanted with some of the responses, we need to appreciate the fact that there are others out there who do not share our same precise thinking on that particular subject. It doesn't make them a bad person nor does it mean that we are wrong, just that we do not all think alike which is a good thing for all of us. :D :D

Seriously, I believe that with all of the contributions that are made on this forum from all over the world, it gives us all a chance to see not just the micro-world of billiards as viewed by a wide audience but also how we fit individually into the big picture and how we are viewed by others.

Some of the things I have learned on AZ are simply reality checks, sobering reminders that all is not right in the world while for the most part, the world is evolving in a postive manner and this medium is helping to bridge the gaps between our physical lives across the planet.

The AZ Billiards Forum is a chance for us to talk about billiards, share thoughts, our differences and to grow as human beings.

Here's wishing canwin and all the members of the forum a Happy Easter.

Three cheers for your entire post, not just the above quoted portions. It was so very very well done and thought. A definite cut above the normal 'who shot john' and barfight "contributions." Yours is the kind of effort that makes this forum a great source of information and entertainment. Kudos, props, and mucho appreciation!
