Gus, real or memorex

Well obviously the one in the ebay auction is not real but Gus did in fact make sneaky petes. How many? I am not sure. There is one listed in the cue gallery if you search for it.

Gus definitely made sneeky petes. I was told less than 10 but one would need to ask Barry that question for the best answer. The cue I saw is still owned by a dear friend of Gus and Art Cantando, also named Gus. No signature or initials. Ivory joint only. Super stiff hitter. I couldn't play with that cue, but its owner, as Art put it, "tore my ass up with it."

Bobby Hunt also told me that he had one of several sneeky petes that Gus had made many years ago.

I don't know if Gus actually built the sneeky petes or converted house cues. Dick Abbott had a Gus jump cue for sale that was a house cue conversion. The one I used has a very different taper than any house cue.
