Just saw this cue this weekend and thought it would be a nice treat to post
for all the Az'ers' to see..

This cue was offered (for sale) by Gus to my friend.
He was visiting Gus and playing around on Gus' Pool table with this cue.
He asked Gus if he would sell this cue and Gus said no..
Gus said this was the cue he played with at home and took to the poolroom to play pool with..
Later, Gus called him and ask if he was still interested in buying this cue.
My friend said yes, and.........

I was so fortunate to be able to hold and admire this cue of great significance.
Imagine, this cue was owned and played with by the great GUS SZAMBOTI..
Amazing....

Enjoy!!!!

Wow! What a great cue and great history. The Man's name on the butt cap, too..
Nice cue cap.

Nice caps as well

Thanks for sharing Alton. That cue would be the center of any collection.

I saw that cue in person at the SBE a fee years ago... Think it was going for 80k ...

I don't think so. You probably saw Mark Kulungians cue. Anyways, Gus had a few players and they pop up from time to time. This cue and Marks cue are 8 point cues and are considered the cream of the crop. I won't hijack Altons thread, its a great cue and super rare.
