Buddy Hall scratched on the opening break and the 1 ball was spotted. Hunter came to the table with BIH behind the head string.

On first glance I saw Grady, New York Blackie, Pete Fusco and Leonard Bludworth. Pat Fleming and I were the co TD's. I think this was 1986.

The vid won't play for me...I'll have to try later from my other PC. Thanks for posting the link either way.

I thought I saw David Howard in the crowd as well.

Jay,

You must have a ton of memories of different tournaments you were involved with. I wish I could have gone to a fraction of them....

Yep, David is in the second row with shades on. Blackie is sitting near Buddy in a red shirt and ball cap. Louie Lemke is in the front row center with a red shirt and huge hairdo. Danny Medina spends time in the front row near Louie. He's wearing a baseball cap. Bunny Rogoff is there in the second row, as is Billy Incardona.

I also see New York promoter Barry Dubow, Los Angeles pool room owner Bobby Baker and Fran Crimi & Vicki Paski. I was in the truck with the producer and director. At one point Steve Mizerak gives a plug to the good refs trained by me and Joe Kerr. That was nice to hear. The ref in this match was from L.A. by way of Ohio. His name is Lou Todoroff, and we called him "Bank Pool" Lou. And he played jam up Banks!

Too much use of the overhead camera even back then. I remember sitting in the truck and telling the director once or twice which camera "might" be a good angle for the current shot. He finally told me not to say anything unless he asked me. Mums the word from then on.

Was that Julie H. on the rail? Hard for me to tell. Do you know if she posts here?

probably the best argument against the dreaded overhead camera to use is the fact that with the best cue sport production in the world with snooker and the bbc (they have loads of money), there is zero use of an overhead camera, with reason!

anyway cool video - always nice to see buddy play and that was the first time i've seen bobby hunter play too - he seems like he was a good player.

thanks for the link!

Can't watch it - anyone else having a problem? I can see other videos on GUBA. I get an "information not found" error

So I downloaded VEOH and I can't find the full length video. I can only find the five minute video of the first rack. I will be very grateful if you could show me where the full length video is. And thanks for putting this up!

After you download the VeohTV player - you have the option to watch it on VeohTV - just click that and it will play in the Veoh Player.

I watched this last night before it was pulled. That was a great match and I really enjoyed watching it. Thanks for posting it!:)

Soooooooooooooooo Jay was that foul called on Buddy when he was shooting just across the edge of the 5 ball a legit call? I was unable to tell for sure when I watched it.

Great match...I'll take Bobby in the rematch. I think he's aged a little better than Buddy. :) :)
