Hand Tooled Western DW Envelope Case F/S or Trade

Hi all,

I have one hand tooled envelope case available from the first run made by Del of DW Cases. It is a 1x2 made from a natural/tan leather. The front is highly tooled and the back has been left fairly smooth with tooled accents around the lid and strap.

The top of the case has become Del's trademark. He didn't think that the standard envelope styled cases offered the best protection (or aesthetics), due to the gap left by the flap at the top, so he immediately started to experiment until he found his own style. The braiding at the top is unique and adds a nice flair.

The interior is a nice brown, heavy suede, and has tubes for the shafts. The exterior is very unique in the fact that it has been molded (similiar to a gun holster).

The tooling is very nice and I hope some of the amazing detail shows up in my less than stellar pictures! The case has been hand stitched and reinforced with gut sinew to make a durable case, as well as a work of art.

There are only nine DW Cases in existence at this time. I'd like to put this one in the hands of someone who will appreciate it, so I will take $600 shipped in the CONUS (will ship out of country, too, but this will be at an additional cost), or will consider trades. This price is below cost and won't be bumped with constant decreases, so you don't have to worry about waiting until the "final sharpening of the pencil" to get the best shake. This is it!!!

Thanks for looking, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Steve

I have one of these cases, really love the quality craftsmanship and unique design. Steve is offering this one at a bottom floor price, they will only increase in value.

Thanks Tommy! No better testimonial than a happy customer...

Relay nice!
Have you made this style in a smooth tan or saddle color?

Thanks Rvan.

Western style case

I have a 1 X 2 and a 2X4 that a saddle maker made for me. Very similar except it is not hand sewn. It was sewed on a harness machine. I had him use a basket stamp with a little hand tooling.
This is an awesome case and a very good price it seems.

Rvan, he has done a couple of different versions of this case (see http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=153111). This case is actually pretty close to tan, and I've debated dyeing it a darker brown to get it closer to a natural saddle color (even picked up the glaze remover and dye), but I know as soon as I do, someone will write and say they wanted one the color it is now.

Thanks for your input, Percy! What kind of knives do you make?

Bruce, you need one of these cases to add to your collection!
