OMG, has that guy got energy. He was everywhere and involved in everything. He brought Bobby "Cotton" LaBlanc to my booth so three writers could take pics and swap a few lies. He introduced me to that Dennis fellow who plays a bit and, damned if I didn't corner Jay into buying me a cup of coffee, extravagant fellow that he is. I started reading his book POOL WARS. Good book, and all I can say is I'm happy our paths crossed after I quit gambling. Jay would have made soup out of me. He mentioned how it was odd that we didn't run into one another and I told him every time I saw his license plate I screwed out of town. I didn't survive out there because I was dumb. If he took my money I couldn't
keep it nice. Alfie

Alfie Taylor is one class act! I'm very glad that we rekindled our friendship all these years later. At one time blood would have flowed if we met . We were both hard core players a long time ago in our youths. I knew all about Alfie years ago and I avoided him as well. All I heard about him involved someone losing their dough. I didn't like the sound of that.

I'm glad to call Alfie a friend today and no longer a rival. I'm hopeful that maybe we can do something that is good for pool together. I've got one or two ideas to share with him. Will keep you posted.

On the other hand, Bobby (Cotton) and I did play, more than once. He was always tough action for me, but I liked crossing swords with him. He would give me a clean honest game and we have remained friends all these years.

I can't stand it. Jay says all those nice things about a guy who can't spell Helfert correctly. A thousand apologies, Jay. I can controll my heart's direction but the old brain has a route of it's own.
keep it nice. Alfie
