Happy birthday ginky

RIP to one of the most gifted NYC players. May you carry on in the afterlife and inspire the living as if you were still here walking among us... Happy Birthday bro and we will never forget the stamp you left on our community!! :(
 
Those in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area can get together, shoot some pool, and remember him at the annual tournament held in his memory (Ginky Memorial Tournament).
 
Especially from 1996-2003, Ginky was a towering presence in the New York and national pool scene.

The greatest rivalry there has been in the last twenty years of pool in the Northeast was surely Ginky vs Tony Robles, making it fitting that the Ginky Memorial event coming up in a few weeks is a stop on Tony's Predator tour.

One room that continually celebrates Ginky's past (as well as Tony's) is Snooker's in the Providence, Rhode Island area, where there is a banner hanging for each winner of the Ocean State Championship. Come to think of it, I wish more rooms did this.
