Steve,
I guess I'll have to post a congratulatory Happy Birthday again. I feel bad that I couldn't include a cryptic comment, as the NYC locals all did...
What is "AUP"?
What is the "Incident on 57th St."?
What is a "screaming 5-reeler"?
I feel very lost not being up on the latest NYC jargon; please help.
First, thanks everyone so much for the wishes! That was really very sweet... Thanks Barbara for putting the post up!
What a day... had to work late and got tortured in a league match by QueenB's boyfriend

. But whatever... I was surrounded by my wife and friends, so life is good. And I won a bunch of money on Pokerstars yesterday.
Willie, your answers:
"AUP" stands for Absolutely Unprecedented, which is the extreme form of "Unprecedented", which is a phrase I've used to describe pretty much anything for the last 7 years or so. I wish I could give you more than that, lol.
"Screaming 5-reeler" - Brian and I have an affinity for playing 5-reel slot machines together in casinos, because every spin basically turns your brain into mush. You know you're in trouble when you start to actually understand what you're rooting for on each successive reel.
"Incident on 57th Street" - shame on you! Bruce Springsteen's 1973 masterpiece, from "The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle". Check out any live version on youtube to see the greatest song you've never heard. Cinematic and heartfelt, it's the rock opera of all rock operas. Liz promised me she'd learn it on guitar for my birthday, and... well...
And when did Rolling Stone magazine come out with its review of Mr. Springsteen's first album, 1973's Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ? You guessed it, July 5, 1973... probably only a couple hours after my entrance to this world. Coincidence? I think not.
Once again, thanks to everyone for making me feel very special today.
