A very HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my friends (and foes) on AZ! Let's make 2014 a year to remember. My New Years resolution is to finally put the finishing touches on More Pool Wars. So near and yet so far.

My bold prediction - that some day we will see all the final matches of pool tournaments on worldwide television. They will be showing two to four tables at a time, just like we watch golf on TV today. Maybe from the final eight players on down to the end. Two days of full length coverage of all the matches! I just hope I'm here to see this day happen. I predict that some day it will come! :)
 
what a cool year it's been! i feel like i now have an AZB family. and a massive insight to pool. yáll are addictive....

Seems like I have been on AZB forever and I always looking forward to the new threads by Jay and others about what is going on across the world, new cues, or the action that is taking place (or lack there of). This place is truly special.

Thanks Jay and I hope you keep your resolution ... I loved the first one and I'm sure I'll love the second. My resolution will be to buy it as soon as it becomes available.

Happy new year to you as well Jay (and others).

New Years Resolutions
- Play as much pool as possible and get back to my 2002-2003 speed
- Play in WSOP in June for 2 events
- Get back into working out which will help with the previous 2 resolutions
- Fix my #%*^& stance somehow, someway while not making my stroke feel uncomfortable
- Improve my break
- Play less safes, and run out more racks
- B&R more 2-3 packs...few 4 packs

Happy New Year.

I like your prediction. I have 70 channels on my cable package most of which I don't watch. There is a bill in congress called the Television Consumer Freedom Act which would allow consumers to only select the channels they want to pay for. If it manages to pass over the objections of the cable companies then I could see a lot of cable channels targeted for a specific audience and a pool channel could make it in that environment.

The big question - would they allow a bald referee or would he have to wear a toupee?
