Thnx for the update Gerald.Gerald said:As posted no admission. Friday 9:30 AM players meeting (full field) games start at 10:30--projected. 1st come 1st served. Watched Dennis Orcullo practice the other evening and he is very impressive. After playing rotation for about an hr he broke and ran 3 racks of 8 Ball. He is very impressive! Everything is effortless. Where in the Phillipines are these guys cloned? All tables have been recovered in the IPT cloth. Smitty was really busy. Pockets are 4 1/4". Bleachers have been cleaned and all metal repainted. By the way Orcullo's practice session was on table 1 that hadn't been reclothed yet and the pockets are 4 1/8", tightest in the room.
I heard he was going to get a Visa soon and start playing in the states a lot more. Does anybody know if this is true? He's a great player and I look forward to watching him play in person.Tablemechanic said:Well I finished up the last table at 7:30 tonight. I recovered 14 tables for the tournament. The owner of Hard Times is paying for the recovery cost. The IPT supplied the cloth. They gave us the cloth because they are testing it out.
This is the biggest tournament I have ever seen on the west coast. Remember this could be worth $100,000+ to who ever wins the spots. They have 80 players that are going to play. Dennis Orcollo, Antonio Lining, Warren Kiamico, Ramil Gallego, Cj Wiley, Oliver Ortmann, Ron Wisemen, Rob Saez, George Breedlove, Morro Paez, Dave Hemmah, Mark Jarvis, Scott Frost, Santos, Bernardo Chavez, Oscar Dominguez, and so on. I will try to give info when I can. Word has it that Woo is going to be there and i talked to Dennis and he said that Ronnie Alcano was suppose to be there.
